Blended Poinsettia

I am loving creating projects with my Blendabilities for my monthly Blendabilities Club!  Recently, I pulled out a gorgeous stamp set from last year's Holiday catalogue called Joyful Christmas.  I wanted to design a project for my October kits using that beautiful poinsettia image...here is what I came up with:

Now, I actually used several retired products on this one:  the stamped image is heat embossed using Pewter embossing powder, the embossing folder I used on the background is called Lacy Brocade and is still available on the Clearance Rack at a steal.  I also used a Basic Glimmer Brad and some Old Olive Organdy Ribbon, which are also still available at a discount on the Clearance Rack.

To colour the poinsettia I used my Calypso Coral and Old Olive Blendabilities sets.  The  sentiment is from the Ornamental Pine set in this year's Holiday Catty and is heat embossed in pewter and die cut using the Project Life Cards and Labels framelits.  I added a little bling with some rhinestones in the centre of the poinsettia.  I can't wait to share this one with my club members...I think they'll love it!

Happy Monday :)  I hope you had a fantastic weekend!  We certainly did...the weather was simply gorgeous and we had some fun family time together.  We had family photos done by the ever-so-talented Zelia Bester of Zelia Bester Studios...here is one of the shots from our shoot...the morning light is just fabulous (as are my two handsome men!):

Now for some stamping!  Today I have a project I designed for the October projects for my Blendabilities Club.  This month club members are receiving the Old Olive set, so here is one of the projects I designed for them:

Thank you card featuring the Regarding Dahlias stamp set, coloured with the Old Olive Blendabilities.

I love the dahlia image in this set!  It is beautiful as it is (which is what I stamped the background of the card with) but coloured with Blendabilities it is simply stunning.  I paired the Old Olive with Blackberry Bliss ink, card stock and ribbon and loved the result.  The card base is Mossy Meadow, which is just a shade darker than the darkest shade in the Blenda's set.

Scattered

The title of this post seems appropriate, given that it is Monday.  I always find myself a wee bit scattered on Monday morning until I get back in the swing of things after the weekend. Today I have a holiday card featuring the Seasonally Scattered stamp set:

I had originally designed this one for my upcoming Holiday Headstart card buffet, but then realized that I didn't have enough supplies on hand to make it work!  That's ok...I'll save it for another holiday class later in the season, once I replenish my supplies.  To get the frosted look on this one I heat embossed the image in Irridescent Ice on a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock.  Then I sponged the entire thing in Whisper White craft ink, leaving the embossed areas a darker shade and making the image really pop. 

I added a little strip of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper that I punched with the Scallop Edge Border punch to add some sparkle along the bottom edge of the focal panel.    I added some Whisper White organza ribbon and a few little snowflakes from the Frosted Sequins pack, and couldn't resist adding a rhinestone to the centre of each one...just a wee bit of bling ;)  The Smokey Slate background is embossed using the Northern Flurry TIEF and is also sponged with Whisper White craft ink.  It is all mounted on a Whisper White card base.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Bliss photopolymer set, as well as some little snowflakes from the Project Life Holiday Cheer set.

A colour challenge for Sunday Stamps

Happy Sunday!  I hope the weather where you are is nicer than it is here...we are getting soaked!  Lots of rain.  That's ok...rainy days mean time to stamp!  To inspire you today we have a new colour challenge over at Sunday Stamps...check it out:

I decided to use one of the new sets from the Holiday Catalogue called The Newborn King:

I thought this colour combo looked quite regal...so suitable for a newborn king!  I heat embossed the image in gold on Blackberry Bliss card stock and then layered it on Brushed Gold and Rich Razzleberry card stock before mounting it on a Garden Green card base.  I added some metallic gold ribbon and a glimmer star for some sparkle.  The sentiment is heat embossed on Rich Razzleberry and then die cut with the Labels Collection framelits.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and the star in Baked Brown Sugar.

Kits-to-go, Take Two

Happy Friday!!  TGIF!!  This week has been nuttier than last week was...I didn't think that was possible!  I am SO ready for a weekend!!
Today I have my second Kit-to-Go to show you.  This one features the Endless Wishes stamp set...one of my fav's from the Holiday catty...

Kits-to-go Sneak Peek!

I have been offering my Holiday Kits-to-Go for several years and they are always very popular.  Folks enjoy having their Christmas cards designed and cut for them so that they simply stamp and assemble.  It makes giving handmade Holiday cards much easier.  This year I am offering two new kits featuring products from the Holiday Catalogue.  Today I am giving you a sneak peek at the Under the Tree Tags 'n' Cards Kit.  Here is one of my favourite cards from the kit:

I like the clean simplicity of this card.  I used several elements from the Under the Tree Tag a Bag Accessory Kit, which is included with Kit-to-go.  Of course, I couldn't resist adding a little sparkle with some gold glimmer paper...every Holiday card needs some bling!

Project Life Card Take Two!

As promised, I have another card I created using the oh, so versatile Project Life Holiday Cheer stamp set.  This one is a Christmas card I will be featuring at my upcoming Holiday Head-start card buffet.  Check it out...

This one is SO simple, but really fun!  I used several images and the sentiment from the Project Life Holiday Cheer set, punching each one out with the 1" square punch.  I layered each on a Garden Green postage stamp.  The background is embossed using the Argyle TIEF.  

The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and punched with the 1-3/8" circle.  I added the little banner in Garden Green that I fussy cut and popped up using a trimmed dimensional.  I layered the sentiment on a Bracket Label punched from silver glimmer paper.  The whole thing is on a Cherry Cobbler card base.  Easy and quick...perfect for mass-producing at a card buffet!

Project Life Cards

Last night I held my monthly team meeting and at it I wanted to show how versatile our line of Project Life products are.  We all know how fabulous they are for memory keeping, but they are also pretty terrific for making cards as well!  Here is one of the projects we made last night, inspired by a card I found on Pinterest by Erica Cerwin:

This card came together so easily!  I began with a Project Life 4"x 3" Grid Card.  I stamped the sentiment from the Project Life Holiday Cheer photopolymer set in Mossy Meadow ink.  Then I stamped the little maple leaf in Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss inks.  I added a strip of Colour Me Autumn DSP along the left edge and added some Linen Thread and a little leaf from the Autumn Wodden Elements. 

The background panel is another piece of Colour Me Autumn DSP that I embossed using the Honeycomb TIEF and layered on a Mossy Meadow card base.  I also added bit of burlap ribbon for more texture.  So quick and easy!

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from For All Things, using my Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow markers to ink the stamp.  I added a few more stamped leaves to complete the project.
