Poinsettia Joy

Can you believe it's almost the end of November?? Christmas is less than FOUR WEEKS away! Have you started your shopping yet? Were you in the crowds on Black Friday? I did some shopping online, but still have a looooong way to go. Yikes!
One thing I am on top of are my Christmas cards. Thanks to the many, many classes I've held this fall I am set for cards to send not only to family and friends but also to each of my customers. Now I just need to get them written and in the mail!
Here is one from a recent card buffet...

I began with a piece of Peace This Christmas DSP, which I matted on a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock. The poinsettia image is from the Reason for the Season stamp set and is stamped on the sheet music-patterned DSP, which is also from the Peace This Christmas DSP pack. I used Cherry Cobbler for the petals, Garden Green for the leaves and then heat embossed the outline image in gold. I added a bit of gold shimmer with some spatters from the gold Wink of Stella.

I layered the stamped DSP on a scalloped square, die-cut using the Layering Squares framelits from Cherry Cobbler card stock. The sentiment banner, from the Stitched With Cheer stamp set, is also heat embossed in gold on Very Vanilla card stock and then die-cut using the Bunch of Banners framelits.I accented the banner with a piece of a gold metallic doily and some Garden Green pine branches, die-cut using the Pretty Pines thinlits.

The entire card is built on a Crumb Cake card stock base. The only embellishement on this one is some gold twine, but I think it is just enough for this vintage-looking card.

On the inside I addeed a Very Vanilla panel on which I stamped the sentiment from the Reason for the Season stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I added another poinsettia, but this time simply stamped the outline in Crumb Cake ink, rather than heat embossing it.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Last Day for the Extravaganza!

https://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/CategoryPage.aspx?categoryid=20500

Happy Monday! Today is the final day of Stampin' Up's big Online Extravaganza Sale. There are special 24-hr deals available today only. Click the image above to visit my webstore and check out these awesome deals...but be sure to place your order today, as these deals disappear at midnight.

Now for some stamping. Today I have a card that features some of the products featured in the Extravaganza Sale. Check it out:

I began with a piece of Fancy Frost specialty DSP (which just happens to be on sale for 30% off!). I sponged the entire piece with Soft Sky ink, then Island indigo and finally, Night of Navy around the outer edges. I love the way the sponging makes the textured pattern of the paper pop.

I stamped the image from the Frosted Medallion stamp set (which is also on sale for 20% off), on Shimmery White card stock, by first inking the entire stamp with Soft Sky ink. Then, using a sponge dauber, I added Island Indigo and Night of Navy. After stamping the image I cut the piece of card stock into three pieces and adhered them to my sponged DSP.

The die-cut "Joy" is cut from silver glimmer paper using the Wonderful Wreath framelits. The stamped sentiment is also from the Frosted Medallions stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy ink. I added a few Fancy Frost sequins from some sparkle. The whole card is built on an Island Indigo card stock base.

On the inside I added a Whisper White card stock panel on which I stamped the sentiment from the Frosted Medallions stamp set in Night of Navy ink and the medallion image in the same shade, but stamped off once first.
I really love this suite of products...so much so that I designed a whole class around it! It works for so much more than just New Year's or Christmas. Stay tuned for more from this stamp set!

Have a marvelous Monday and a wonderful week!

Christmas Blessings

Happy Hump Day...half way to the weekend and it's all downhill from here :) Today also marks day three of the BIG Online Extravaganza Sale...have you checked out the amazing deals yet? Don't miss out on this chance to pick up great items for Christmas crafting and gift-giving at great prices.

Today I have another card to share that uses some more of that yummy new Falling in Love DSP from the upcoming Occasions Catalogue. Check this one out...

Talk about a WOW and it is the DSP that does all the work! Here I simply heat embossed the sentiment (from the Christmas Pines stamp set) in gold, added some spatters of gold Wink of Stella and then layered it on a Sahara Sand card stock base. The reindeer is die cut from gold glimmer paper using the Santa's Sleigh framelits.

I used gold 5/8" satin ribbon and some Sweet Sugar Plum ruched ribbon from the Annual Catalogue, as well as some Fancy Frost and Metallic gold sequins. So easy!!

On the inside, I added a panel of Very Vanilla card stock on which I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Sahara Sand ink and added some little snowflakes using (retired) Encore Metallic Gold ink.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
