Quick and Easy is the Name of the Game!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. Did you get a chance to check out our Stamping Symphony blog hop on Saturday? If you missed it, be sure to scroll down to my previous post...we were all about winter and the new year this month.
Speaking of the new year, can you believe how fast time is flying by? One week from today is Christmas Eve! If you're like me you're likely getting down to crunch time when it comes to gift buying (and wrapping!). I am a big giver of gift cards and, because they can seem impersonal, I always like to package them in a special way to make the recipient feel extra-special. So this week, I am all about quick and easy gift card holders! I'm featuring three designs that I'll be showcasing in my Tuesday Live @ Five video over on Facebook, and I have a little sneak peek for you today...

I CASE'd this design from the uber-talented Erica Cerwin, who I think CASE'd one of her downline! Isn't is amazing the way we can all share ideas? This little cutie slides open to reveal the gift card...

The only gift cards I have in the house right now are for Starbucks and the LCBO (wine store!) LOL...what does that tell you about my current state of mind?!? I used the Sincerely Santa stamp set and Dashing Along DSP for all three of the projects I'll be featuring in my video this week. I love the traditional colours and patterns in that paper!

I also used some pine bough die-cuts and sparkly gold sprigs I had laying around from other projects. I love this time of year, when I am done with Christmas classes and can use up extra bits and pieces before pulling out all of my new Occasions catalogue goodies!

I hope you'll join me tomorrow afternoon at 5 pm ET over on my Facebook page. If you can't join me live you can check out the recording later on Facebook, my YouTube channel or on the Video Tutorials tab at the top of this page. I've got you covered for quick and easy gift-card packaging this year!

In the meantime, have a great week and may the lines be short and the parking spaces at the mall be plentiful! ;)

A Wintry Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday! Are you surprised to see me today? I normally post every Monday, but make an exception when the 15th of the month falls on a different day of the week; which means it must be time for another Stamping Symphony Blog Hop!

This week my Product of the Week has been the Beautiful Blizzard bundle from the soon-to-be retired Holiday Catalogue. I've been posting projects featuring this bundle on Instagram and Facebook all week...if you missed them you NEED to follow me so you don't miss a thing! I also featured the bundle in my Tuesday Live @ Five video where I demonstrated how to make this project...

Now, at first glance this one isn't anything all that special UNTIL you realize that those white sparkly snowflakes in the lower left corner are done with embossing paste using the Blizzard Thinlit die as a mask! This technique is so easy and so much fun I couldn't wait to demonstrate it in my live video last week. You can watch it below or check it out on my YouTube channel.

The sentiment I used on this card is actually from one of the host stamp sets in the Holiday Catalogue, called Warm Hearted. It is lots of great sentiments for many occasions, but I thought a New Year's card might fit the bill for anyone who (like me) hasn't got their Christmas cards in the mail yet! I've provided the complete supply list below...be sure to pick up that Beautiful Blizzard bundle before it is gone for good on January 2nd!

Now, I also used a little sneak peek product on this project...did you catch it? Those stitched rectangles are coming in the Occasions Catalogue on January 3rd and they are THE BOMB!!! I am already completely addicted to them...honestly, how have I lived this long without them??? They are going to be a HOT ITEM in this new catalogue. Speaking of the new catalogue, if you don't currently have a demonstrator and are in Canada, I would be happy to send you copies of the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues. Just drop my a quick note and I will get it in the mail to you in time for it to go live on January 3rd.

In the meantime, be sure to hop on over to Sandy's blog and see what she has been up to...

Have a Super Saturday and a fabulous weekend!

Beautiful Blizzard

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. The countdown is on...just two weeks till Christmas Eve! I don't know about you, but my To-Do List is a mile long...soooo much to do and so little time!
Today I have a project that uses one of my most-loved bundles in the Holiday Catalogue that, sadly, is retiring at the end of the month. The Beautiful Blizzard bundle is simply stunning and I am shining the spotlight on it as my Product of the Week this week.

Check out this beauty...

I had some fun with this one, applying Brusho to some Sparkle Glimmer paper to create the varied shades on the snowflakes. I'll be demonstrating the how-to for this one on this week's Tuesday Live @ Five video over on my Facebook page, so be sure to check it out. If you miss the live broadcast, I'll post the recorded video on the Video Tutorials tab above later this week. Now, did you notice a little sneak peek at a fabulous new product from the upcoming Occasions Catalogue?? Here's a hint...

Did you spot them?? If you guessed the Stitched Rectangle die-cuts, you've got a good eye! There is a HUGE set of new dies coming in the Occasions Catty that cuts a zillion sizes of rectangles with stitching detail around the edges. I am already completely addicted to them and my pre-order goodies just arrived on Friday! You are going to LOVE them! Be sure to put them at the top of your Wishlist when the new catalogue goes live on January 3rd.

Here's a look at the inside of my card. I used more Brusho'd snowflakes along with some stamped images from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. I am SO going to miss this bundle when it retires!

As I mentioned above, I have used this bundle A TON this season. The best part is that it isn't Christmas-specific. There are sentiments that work for anytime and make beautiful winter-themed cards. Be sure to check out my video tomorrow and follow me on Instagram for lots more projects throughout the week. I'll be back on Saturday for our monthly Stamping Symphony Blog Hop...till then, have a great week!
