Always and Forever Blossoms

I don't think there is anything that says spring quite like cherry blossoms. Seeing trees loaded with beautiful blossoms is one of my very favourite things about the spring season. Maybe it's because they only last a few days here in Ontario, but for me, they are a true sign that spring has indeed sprung!
While we are still a few months away from cherry blossoms here in Cambridge, I had them springing up all over my studio this weekend. I spent some quality time with the Forever Blossoms bundle as I worked on projects for my newest online class and I just couldn't get enough of the beautiful images. Here is the bundle artwork...

The hand-drawn artwork is so soft and pretty and looks amazing stamped in simple neutral tones or coloured. Check out this pretty wedding card...

Here I featured some of the beautiful Parisian Blossoms Designer Paper as the backdrop for my blossoms. I opted to colour the stamped image with Pool Party and Soft Seafoam Stampin' Blends as was pleasantly surprised to find the image, stamped in Smoky Slate ink, didn't bleed or fade. I love that I now have a softer option for stamping my images to be coloured with Blends!

I used the Label Me Lovely and Label Me Fancy punches to cut out my layered sentiment labels, stamping on the same DSP I used for the background panel in Smoky Slate ink. I added some Petal Pink metallic ribbon and a few Champagne Rhinestones for some sparkle.

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set as well as another cherry blossom branch, leaving it uncoloured. I love how beautiful it is just like that!

I will be featuring this card and two others in tomorrow's Live @ Five video over on my Facebook page at 5 pm ET. I will also be launching my new online class, so you'll definitely want to check it out! If you miss the live broadcast, you can catch the replay on my YouTube channel later in the week or on the Video Tutorials link in the right sidebar of this page.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a fabulous week!

Positive Thoughts

Happy Tuesday! Did you miss me yesterday? I took the day off, as we had a long weekend here in Ontario. It was our Family Day holiday and it was the perfect way to spend a February weekend. We played games, went out for breakfast and just enjoyed each other's company. It was so good to reconnect after a very busy few months.

Today I have a pretty card to share featuring the Positive Thoughts stamp set and coordinating Nature's Thoughts Dies...

I pulled out some of the gorgeous Pressed Petals Designer Paper for this one. I sometimes need to remind myself to use the awesome products from the Annual Catalogue alongside the fabulous new ones. It is so easy to get distracted by the shiny new things and forget beloved items that have been around a while. This Designer Paper is a perfect example of a product that I absolutely LOVE but haven't pulled out in a long while!

I used the linen pattern as the background for my card, stamping the fern image from the Positive Thoughts stamp set several times in Mossy Meadow ink. Then, using the awesome new coordinating Natures Thoughts dies, I die cut the rectangle from the stamped panel. I am SO loving these dies! If you haven't yet got your hands on them you'll want to do it soon, as they are a limited release item as part of the Coordination Product Release, available only while supplies last.

I stamped the flower in Rococo Rose on card stock of the same shade and then die-cut it using the coordinating dies. I added a few little sprigs die-cut from Mossy Meadow card stock and adhered it to the sentiment label. The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  I added a little scrap of lace trim along the bottom for a feminine touch. I also added a few scattered pearls.

On the inside I added a Very Vanilla layer on which I stamped the fern image again in Mossy Meadow ink. I skipped the sentiment so that I could use this card for multiple occasions.

I'll be demonstrating this card and two others featuring the Positive Thoughts stamp set and Nature's Thoughts dies in today's Live @ Five video over on Facebook. If you miss the live broadcast you can catch the replay on my YouTube channel later in the evening.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a spectacular week!

Sweet Baby Cards and a Blog Hop

Happy Saturday...and for those of you in Ontario, Happy Family Day long weekend! I have to say that whoever thought it would be a good idea to have a long weekend in the very WORST month of the year is a genius!! I am so looking forward to spending some quality time with my fam jam this weekend!
Today is the 15th of the month, which means it is time for another Stamping Symphony Blog Hop.

This month we are all about new products, and there is nothing newer than the gorgeous Pleased as Punch Designer Paper from the Coordination Product Release. The images in this DSP pack coordinate with several punches from the January-June Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration. It is a must-have for quick and easy cards! Check out these his-and-hers baby cards I made...

Are they not adorable?? Can you believe the only stamping on these cuties is the sentiment?? Here's a closer look at each design...

For the girl card I used Blushing Bride card stock and a cute stitched felt element from the Follow You Art Embellishment Kit. That cute little heart trinket is also from that kit...I think it is perfect for a baby card! The stamped sentiment is from the So Sentimental bundle, which I also used to die-cut the label. The scalloped border is die-cut using the Be Mine Stitched dies.

On the boy card I used many of the same elements, swapping out Whisper White and Crushed Curry for the Blushing Bride, and using a few extra felt pieces from the Follow You Art Embellishment kit because they were just too cute not to use and coordinated perfectly with my project!

I even prettied up the inside of the girl card...

I so love all of the little details on these cards...now I just need my preggers colleagues at work to hurry up and pop so I can send them out!

I demonstrated the boy version of this card in this week's Live @ Five video, which includes all of the measurements...

Be sure to hop on over to Sandy's blog to see what gorgeousness she has come up with...I am constantly amazed at the talented stampers in my Stamping Symphony family!

Thanks so much for stopping by today...have a great weekend and I will see you on Tuesday with another new project.

Pleased as Punch Flower Pot Gift Card Holder

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. Around here it was a busy one, but then, they're ALL busy! I spent some quality time in my studio playing with the new Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper from the Coordination Product Release. I have to say...I can't get enough of that stuff! So many fun possibilities! Check out this cute project I designed...

Now, who wouldn't love to get a pretty pot of tulips, especially in the dead of a Canadian winter?? These tulips, punched from the Pleased as Punch DSP using the Tulip Builder punch, are so colourful and pretty, they were begging to be arranged in a pretty pot. The best part is that this pot holds a secret...

It's a gift card holder! How perfect would this be to give on Mother's Day or a special birthday...or even as a teacher gift? Thanks to the punched tulips and leaves, it is super-easy to put together and the only stamping is the sentiment.

I'll be demonstrating this fun project in this week's Tuesday Live @ Five video over on my Facebook page tomorrow at 5 pm ET. If you can't join me live you can catch the replay over on my YouTube channel or on the Free Video Tutorials page found in the right sidebar.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a spectacular week and be sure to swing by again this Saturday for our monthly Stamping Symphony blog hop.
