Paper Dahlias for my Friends

Happy Monday! Today I have a project to share with you that I made for some special friends at Convention.  I wanted to make something special that they could (hopefully) display in their studios, so I came up with these mini paper dahlias.  Those of you who have visited my own home studio have seen the much larger versions made from card stock adorning my walls.

Since I needed something much smaller, I had to find an alternate medium from which to construct my dahlias.  The answer?  Cherry on Top Cotton Paper from Stampin' Up!  Check out the selection of blossoms I made:

Now these are NOT that hard to make.  A little time-consuming, yes, but not difficult.  To show you just how easy they are, I've made my first ever tutorial video!!!  Yup, I'm excitedly entering the world of video tutorials after finally solving my camera mount problem.  Check out the video below for step-by-step instructions on how to make these pretty flowers. Then, if you enjoyed it, please share it :)

Here are all of the gifts I made to take to convention! Which colour is your favourite?

All of the supplies used to create the dahlias and the projects above are listed below.

  4. Leena... these are gorgeous! I might need to "borrow" some of my sister's cotton paper to make my own! ;) I'd pick the Bermuda Bay as well but they all are lovely!
