Hello Weekend!

Happy Friday!!  Wahoo!  I am so glad the week is over because it means it is almost time for my Sale-a-bration Launch and Customer Appreciation Open House. This is my favourite event of the year because not only do I get to showcase the amazing new products in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues, but I also get to show my fabulous customers some love. I am so excited for Saturday's event :)

Today I thought I would show you one of the free make-n-takes that will be available at my open house. It is not my original design...I CASE'd it from my sweet friend Erica Cerwin of Pink Buckaroo Designs.

Birthday card featuring the Hello Sale-a-bration stamp set and Perfectly Artistic DSP

To begin, I used some of the watercolour-look Basic Gray sheets in the Perfectly Artistic Sale-a-bration DSP pack. I am SOO in love with this paper!!  I wish it weren't going away on February 15th...I'd better stock up before it's gone...and you should too! The DSP is stamped using the border image from the Hello Sale-a-bration stamp set using Basic Gray ink.  Isn't that a cool background? Erica is brilliant!

The focal point uses several stamps from the Hello stamp set. The large greeting is stamped in Basic Gray ink, the small greeting and the party hat are stamped in Melon Mambo...LOVE that vibrant pink! I used the Triple Banner punch to punch one end of the Whisper White strip in to a banner. Layered behind that are smaller banners in silver glimmer paper and some Melon Mambo Perfectly Artistic DSP (see...told you I can't get enough of that paper!). I added half a silver metallic doily and a few silver metallic sequins for some sparkle.

Inside view with sentiment from the Perfect Pairings Sale-a-bration stamp set.
On the inside, I stamped a couple of sentiments from another Sale-a-bration stamp set called Perfect Pairings using Basic Gray and Melon Mambo inks. I added a little silver glimmer balloon punched using the Party Punch Pack.

I test-drove this design with my Tri-City Stampers team at our monthly meeting earlier this week and they loved it, so I know my Open House guests will too.  After all, who doesn't love a pink and sparkly birthday card??

I hope you have a fantastic weekend.  Be sure to stop by on Sunday for a new challenge from Sunday Stamps!

Here are the products I used to create this card:
