Happy Tuesday...and happy second-to-last day of August! Can you believe September is almost here?? I sure can, because I have to be back at work on the 1st! Time sure flies when you're on summer vacation! This is the first year since pre-Covid that I actually feel rested and ready to start a new school year. I'm so very thankful for a rejuvenating break!
With the start of the school year I often like to give some of my colleagues a little something to start the year off right. The new Apple Harvest stamp set and coordinating Apple Blossom dies were the obvious choice for this year's cards! Check it out...
Now, I need to make sure you're aware that while the Apple Harvest stamp set is in the Holiday Mini and available right now, the coordinating dies are not. They are part of the Perfect Partners promotion that launches September 1st. The promo includes coordinating dies for several stamp sets from both the Annual and Mini catalogues...including this one!
The set includes dies that cut out the stamped images from the Apple Harvest stamp set (like the apples I used on my card) as well as dies to build a branch full of apple blossoms, a cute scalloped border die and a fabulous label. These dies will only be available during this promotion, while supplies last, so be sure to grab them early!
I used Stampin' Blends in Real Red, So Saffron and Granny Apple Green to colour my apples. The striped DSP in the background is from the soon-retiring Wonderful World Saleabration pack and the black and white plaid behind the apples is from the Rustic Harvest pack. The sentiment is stamped and die-cut using the Charming Sentiments bundle.
Check out the video below for a step-by-step demonstration of this card and two others using this fabulous bundle:
Happy Tuesday! I can't believe there is just one week left in August...where has the summer gone?? It has definitely been a more relaxing one than the past few, so I actually (almost) feel ready to start a new school year.
With the end of August approaching it means that Sale-a-bration is also coming to an end. Just one more week to take advantage of the opportunity to grab fabulous free products with a qualifying order.
This week I have been having a blast playing with the Storybook Gnomes suite from the July-December Mini Catalogue. There are so many cute ways to use the products in the suite from the DSP to the stamp set to the dies...I just can't seem to stop playing with them! Check out this adorable easel card I made...
Seriously...how cute are these little gnomes?? I paired images from the stamp set with die-cut trees and Christmas lights from the Spruced Up Outlines dies and cute snowdrifts made with the Cloud Punch to create a festive scene.
I used two different patterns from the Storybook Gnomes Designer Paper pack...LOVE that stuff! The gnomes are coloured using Stampin' Blends. I also used Blends to colour the strings of die-cut lights. I just cut them in white and then coloured them to coordinate with my card. So cute and so easy!
This little guy playing peekaboo with his hat just melts my heart...so stinkin' cute!
I demonstrated this card and two others in my Facebook live this week. Check out the replay on my YouTube channel below...
All of the measurements for all three cards are included in the video description on my YouTube channel...just scroll down to find them. My goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to find what you need to recreate the projects! The full supply list for this card is below...happy stamping!
Thanks for stopping by this week. Have a great day!
Happy Monday! How is it already the 15th of August?!?! I am SO NOT ready for the summer to end. I feel like my vacation started like 10 minutes ago! Alas, all good things must end and I do have to admit that I am looking forward to getting back to semi-normal at school this fall. This is the first time in three years that I actually know what I'm teaching on the first day! It will also be sooo good to get my bands back up and running...it has been way too long!
With the 15th of the month comes our monthly Stamping Symphony Blog Hop. This month we are all about Fun Folds and do I have a fabulous one to share with you! Check this out...
It is called a Double Floating Panel card and it is SO much easier than it looks! A BIG shoutout to Rachel Tessman at Stamp Your Art Out for the how-to on this one! I used two different patterns from the Texture Chic Designer Paper pack to create a fall look. I love that this suite works for pretty much every season...so versatile!
The belly band slides on and off and is really the focal point of the card. I used die-cut leaves in Soft Suede, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Mango Melody. Can we take a moment and admire how GORGEOUS that Distressed Gold Specialty Paper is?? 😍. I also punched some sprigs in Kraft and Mango Melody to create my arrangement around the sentiment. The circles are die-cut using the Stylish Shapes and Layering Circles dies.
I'll be demonstrating this card and two others that show the versatility of this suite in tomorrow's Facebook Live @ Five video...come and join me! All of the measurements for this card will be posted in the video description, both on Facebook and on my YouTube channel, so you can give it a try. I'll post the link to the replay here after tomorrow's live.
Now, head on over to Sandy's blog to see what fun fold she has for you...
