Join my Stamping Symphony

Like the many different instruments in an orchestra add colour to its sound, each member of my Stamping Symphony team is important, adding her own personality and contributing in her own unique way. Our adopted team members are like guest performers, sharing their special talents and gifts with us. Together we create a beautiful symphony, like members of an orchestra. Just as a conductor is nothing without an orchestra, I am nothing without each team member and I strive to ensure each one knows how important they are to the beautiful symphony that is our stamping family.

FAQ’s

How much does it cost to get started?

The Starter Kit is only $135. In most Canadian provinces, there is or shipping/ handling or tax (in most provinces) charged on the starter kit. This kit is completely customizable for a total of $165 in product,  plus $70 in business supplies, including a FREE past Paper Pumpkin kit. You can select any product from any current catalogue or online exclusives to go into your kit.

What will I do as a Demonstrator?
You can decide how you want to use your demonstratorship. You can be your only customer, ordering your own products with your demonstrator discount and enjoying the friendship and community of our Stamping Symphony. You can take orders from friends and family and earn 20% commission on each order. You can build a business, holding classes and workshops to earn an income. Whatever you decide to do with your demonstratorship, I am here to help you every step of the way.

What are the minimum sales requirements?
To maintain your status as a demonstrator you will be required to sell (or purchase) $394.17 worth of product per quarter. This works out to $315.30 per quarter with your 20% demonstrator discount/commission or $105.10 per month. (Back when I joined Stampin' Up! 13 years ago, I was spending WAY more than this per month and it just made sense for me to join for the discount. Little did I know where that decision would take me!)

Why do I have to provide my SIN when purchasing the Starter Kit?
Stampin' Up! is required, by Canadian Law, to provide statements of income (T4A) for certain types of commission you may earn as a demonstrator. As such, they require your SIN to be in compliance with Canadian tax laws.

Do I have to collect HST on my orders?
Stampin’ Up! takes care of sending the HST charged on each order to Revenue Canada. As a demonstrator you will include the HST in your order calculations (as per the customer order form) and collect payment, which you will forward to Stampin’ Up! as part of the ordering process. Stampin’ Up! will then forward the HST collected on your behalf. There is no additional paperwork or filing required on your part.

Will I receive support and training as a Demonstrator?
By joining you will become part of my Stamping Symphony family and I’ll provide you with all the help and support you need — but I will never push or pressure you to do more than you desire. Whether your goals are to just support your stamping hobby or you want to build a successful business, I am here to help. I'm just a text, phone call or email away :)
You’ll also be part of a large community of stampers who LOVE Stampin’ Up! as much as you do. I hold a monthly team virtual meeting where we gather together via Zoom for business tips, celebrating successes, stamping demonstrations and encouraging each other. Once per quarter (pre-Covid) I held a free half-day training event where we got more in-depth business training, swapped card ideas, played fun games for free product, and of course, stamped together! I can't wait to get back to gathering in person! Between meetings we stay connected through Facebook where we participate in weekly updates (What's Up Wednesday), when I answer questions and update everyone on the latest news via live video. We also have a Freebie Friday challenge every week where everyone has the chance to win free product. We have SO much fun in our Facebook group!

How easy is it get to the level where I can earn free trips?
Only the top 1% of demonstrators earn the annual Incentive Trip. This is NOT an easy task and requires commitment and TONS of hard work. That doesn't mean it isn't possible...it took me 9 years and loads of hard work to earn my first trip...but it is something that is worth the effort. If this is a goal of yours, I'd love to chat with you about how to get started.

How much money can I actually make as a Demonstrator?

As a demonstrator your income level from your Stampin' Up! business is entirely dependent on the level of effort and time that you put into it. It takes time and hard work to make contacts and build a customer base. As new demonstrator you may have months were you have no income, as you are putting any commission back into your business. However, with time, consistency and building a team, the potential is there to earn a modest supplementary income. Some demonstrators choose to work their business full time and work towards earning a full time income. The beauty of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is that YOU get to decide what you want to do. There is no pressure from me or from Stampin’ Up! to sell or build a team...the choice is entirely yours.

Do I have to recruit other Demonstrators?
Absolutely not! Having a downline is not a requirement, it is a perk - we have the opportunity to earn a commission based on our downline’s sales. But it is completely fine if you just want to be a Discount Demo and save on your personal purchases...no strings attached. If you decide to build a business and your own team I can help you learn all there is to know about supporting them. All of my team’s recruits are welcome in our team Facebook group and are invited to attend all team events and participate in challenges and incentives.

What if I only want to do this for the discount? Do I still have to do workshops?
Nope. Stampin’ Up! and I welcome and support the Discount Demonstrator just like the Career Demonstrator. You can put in your own orders or collect orders from family & friends that equal $394.17 a quarter. There is no requirement or expectation to hold workshops or classes.

What if I decide it’s not for me once I’ve started? Will I be penalized if I quit?
You simply stop placing orders. If you don’t meet the minimum requirement, Stampin’ Up! will just “drop” you—no penalties, no questions asked! But I guarantee that once you start you won’t want to stop!! It's just THAT MUCH FUN!

What kind of perks will I receive as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?
There are so many perks with this  opportunity that I don’t know where to start! Here are just a few for new Demonstrators offered from Stampin' Up!:

1) As a new Demonstrator, you will have the opportunity to earn free product credit during your first 6 months for your sales/purchases as part of the QuickStart program.

2) The ability to be your own “host” and earn free Stampin' Rewards on your own personal orders.

3) As a demonstrator you’ll get early access to new products and catalogues weeks before they are available to customers.

4) As a demonstrator you’ll qualify to attend exclusive Stampin’ Up! Conferences and conventions called OnStage. There are large multi-day events and smaller one-day events. These events are SO much fun as you get to spend time with hundreds of other people who love stamps as much as you do AND get the first chance to see the new catalogues and play with brand new products! We also get spoiled by Stampin’ Up! and always come home with LOTS of free product.

5) Build friendships with people with whom you already have something in common. It can be hard to meet new people and make new friends. Becoming part of my Stamping Symphony means you’re welcomed into a community of like-minded people who share the same interests as you.

Do you really love what you do?

I absolutely do! Here are just a few reasons:
  • I get to do what I enjoy (stamp) with people who have the same interests as me.
  • I get to help others discover their own creativity.

  • I get a discount on all of my purchases.
  • I get to help others build and grow a business.
