Merry Moose

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was FABULOUS! I hosted my annual Autumn Adventure Fall Retreat weekend in Niagara Falls. We had a wonderful three days of crafting fun!

I LOVE spoiling my guests...here's all the loot they went home with...

Now I am back to reality and this week I am featuring the Merry Moose bundle from the Holiday Catalogue...

Being Canadian, the decision to buy this set was a no-brainer! It is so much fun!! Check out this cute card I made with it...

I chose Crumb Cake for my base colour because I wanted a rustic look. I embossed the background panel using the new Winter Knit embossing folder...that is one AWESOME folder...the catalogue does not do it justice! The plaid paper is from the Wrapped in Plaid DSP pack. I matted it in gold foil for extra shine.
I used the silhouette of the moose, by punching the shape from both gold foil and Wrapped In Plaid Designer Paper. I love the shadow effect that creates. The trees are from the Merry Moose stamp set and are stamped in Shaded Spruce ink. I used the Stitched Shapes dies to cut the Whisper White circle. My sentiment label is die-cut using the Ornate Frames dies and the little pine branch behind it is cut using the Beautiful Boughs dies. I stamped my greeting in Shaded Spruce ink.

The only embellishment I added was a little red jingle bell with a linen thread bow.

On the inside I stamped some more trees in Shaded Spruce ink on a Whisper White card stock panel and another sentiment from the Merry Moose stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I'll be demonstrating this card and two others in this week's Tuesday Live @ Five video over on my Facebook page. I hope you'll join me for the live broadcast, but if you miss me you can catch the replay on my YouTube channel later in the week.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a spectacular week!

Cup of Christmas and a Blog Hop!

Happy Tuesday! I know I'm a day late posting, but yesterday was our Thanksgiving, here in Canada. I hosted the whole family for turkey dinner with all the trimmings. It was a wonderful day! Today I am here with a new project and our monthly Stamping Symphony team blog hop.

This month we are featuring projects using products from the Holiday Catalogue. Now that Thanksgiving is out of the way, I can really start focusing on Christmas cards! I have my annual fall retreat coming up this weekend and I am offering several Christmas-themed projects all weekend long. This week I am focusing on the Cup of Christas bundle.

This bundle is so much fun to play with! Check out this card I made...

I die-cut my mug from some Wrapped in Plaid DSP and added the whipped cream using the Pretty Label punch. One of the things I love most about this set of dies is all the little extra embellishments one can make. Here, the holly leaves and gold sprigs are from the die set...it is so easy to make diy embellishments! My Whisper White background is embossed using the Winter Knit embossing folder. The Shaded Spruce polka dot DSP is die-cut using the Stitched Rectangles dies and is matted on some gold foil.

The sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce and trimmed a little banner using the Tailored Tag punch. I added a little jingle bell with a bit of white Baker's Twine as well as some soon-to-be-released gold glitter enamel dots.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Cup of Christmas set in Shaded Spruce ink and added some little holly leaves.

I'll be featuring this card and two others in this week's Tuesday Live @ Five video over on my Facebook business page. Due to a 6:00 meeting I have to attend, I will actually be live a half hour early this week (at 4:30 pm ET). I hope you'll join me live, but if you miss it you can catch the replay on my YouTube channel or by click the Video Tutorials tab at the top of the page later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the next blog in our hop for more Holiday Catalogue inspiration...

Have a spectacular week!

Birds of a Feather for Christmas

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and made time for some stamping on World Cardmaking Day. I celebrated the day by holding my quarterly Stamping Symphony Team Training day and we had so much fun! I can't think of a better way to mark World Cardmaking Day than with some of my favourite crafty friends!

This week, I am featuring an adorable stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue called Birds of a Feather. Check it out...

I absolutely love the adorable images in this set, not only be cause they are super-cute, but because they are such fun to colour with my Stampin' Blends! Check out this ca-ute Christmas card...

Isn't that chubby li'l bird just the sweetest?? I coloured him using my Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade combos. He's super quick and easy to colour!

I used the Frosted Frames dies to cut out my label, leaving plenty of space to stamp the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink. The Shaded Spruce DSP I used for the background is from the Wrapped in Plaid pack. The Poppy Parade Argyle DSP is from the Brights 6"x 6" Colour Family pack. Can I just say how much I LOVE those colour family packs?? Having awesome DSP in every colour makes designing SO easy! The only embellishment on this card is some Wink of Stella on the frosted frame, a teeny gold star from the Most Wonderful Time Medley and some Shaded Spruce/Gold ribbon.

On the inside, I stamped and coloured a starry border and added another sentiment from the Birds of a Feather set.

Despite the colouring, this is really a quick and easy card to put together. I'll be demonstrating this card and two other projects using this set in tomorrow's Tuesday Live @ Five video over on my Facebook business page. I really hope you'll join me, but if you miss the live broadcast, you can catch the replay on my YouTube channel or on the Video Tutorials tab above.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a beautiful week!
