Happy Birthday

Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a good week. Halfway to the weekend :)
Today I have another of the projects that I designed for my recent birthday card buffet.

I am really loving this Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride colour combo right now! Here I die-cut the background Crumb Cake panel with the new Window Box thinlits. I used one of the dies intended to decorate the top of the box and only had about half of it on my card stock panel. Then I ran the panel through the Big Shot again with the Softly Falling TIEF to add texture. Behind my cut-out window, I adhere some Falling in Love DSP to make the pretty pattern pop.
The sentiment is from the Cottage Greetings stamp set and is stamped in Crumb Cake ink. I added a little flourish from the Birthday Blast stamp set. The ovals were cut using the Layering Ovals framelits...I love how perfectly they layer. I added a little piece of one of the new Lace Doilies at the bottom, some of the Sale-a-bration metallic ribbon behind it and a little Falling In Love Embellishment for some sparkle.

On the inside I added a Very Vanilla panel on which I stamped another of the sentiments from the Cottage Greetings set in Crumb Cake ink and a couple more flourished in Blushing Bride.

I love the softness of this colour combo...and I am not a pastel kinda gal. Give this one a try if you struggle with subtle colours...you might surprise yourself :)
