Monochromatic Flower Patch

Yesterday I showed you a card I made using the Emerging Colours technique with the Flower Patch stamp set.  Today I have another version, but this time it is a monochromatic colour scheme...

Thinking of You card featuring the Flower Patch and A Dozen Thoughts stamp sets and using the Emerging Colours technique
Totally different look, no?  On this one I used the following colours:  Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Lost Lagoon, Island Indigo and Night of Navy.  The flower is stamped in Lost Lagoon and Island Indigo and die cut with the Flower Fair Framelits.  I added a little bling in the centre of the flower with some rhinestones and made ribbon leaves from Lost Lagoon stitched satin ribbon.

The sentiment is from the A Dozen Thoughts set, is stamped in Night of Navy and die cut using the Project Life Cards and Labels framelits.

On the inside I stamped more flowers and omitted a sentiment to all space to write an encouraging message.
I have just the person in mind to send this one to.  Hope it brightens her day!

Flower Patch Friday

Well, if you haven't guessed by now, I am in love with the new Flower Patch stamp set.  There are just so many possibilities with it!  Here is another project I put together:

Thank you card featuring the Flower Patch stamp set and Flower Fair Framelits.
For this one I used Versamark to stamp some of the images on a piece of Gold Soiree DSP and then heat embossed them in white.  I love how quick and easy it is to add interest to a simple-patterned piece of paper.  I stamped and die-cut the flower embellishment using Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral ink and did the same with the leaf in Garden Green.

I used a bit of Calypso Coral baker's twine by way of embellishment, and added a candy dot in Garden Green to the centre of the flower.  The little scallops behind the sentiment strip are punched from Garden Green card stock using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch.

On the inside I stamped the larger flower several times in Crips Cantaloupe and the darker centre in Calypso Coral.  I added a touch of green by stamping the leaves in Garden Green.

Have a fabulous weekend...hope you get to stamp something!

Flower Patch Awesomeness and new product announcements

Last night I held my monthly team meeting in my brand new craft room!  It was the perfect way to christen my new space, stamping and having fun with ladies who are very special to me.  Today I want to show you one of the projects we made:

Any occasion card featuring the Flower Patch stamp set.
Now, I think you already know how much I love the new Flower Patch stamp set and coordinating Flower Fair framelits, but this card just cinches it for me.  It was so quick and easy to put together and yet is so pretty!  The inspiration for this one came from a design by Connie Stewart that I found on Pinterest.  The colour scheme uses inks I don't often break open:  Pink Pirouette, Rose Red and Wild Wasabi, but I love the softness of this combination so much I just may use it again!
I am going to feature this card, along with two others in an upcoming class that highlights this fabulous bundle...stay tuned for details!

Blooming Birthday

Happy Friday...and happy Fourth of July to my American friends!  I hope you are celebrating today with those you love.
Today I have a card I made a while back using the new Flower Patch stamp set and coordinating Flower Fair Framelits...

Birthday card featuring the Flower Patch stamp set.
I think this bundle is one of my favourite new products in the Annual Catalogue!  I love that the stamps are photopolymer, making it super easy to layer the different images to build my flowers.  I also love that there are so many different shapes in the Framelits set...lots of ways to create beautiful blooms!

I did lots of layering of colours here, working from lightest to darkest shade each time.  I also used my Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to colour the pearls in the centre of the pink flower...love that I can quickly and easily create perfectly coordinating embellishments!  The background on this one uses the new Large Polka Dot TIEF...a nice change from my go-to Perfect Polka Dots ;)

Inside view with sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes Photopolymer set.
On the inside I added a few more blooms and a sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes photopolymer set (137553), which is once again available for order.  (If you've been thinking about purchasing this set I would suggest ordering it before they run out of stock again, as there is no guarantee they will be restocked a second time.  These photopolymer sets, which are not in the catalogue, are available on a while-supplies-last basis).

In other news, I've been busily working away on my new stamping studio.  It is so nearly ready to reveal, but not quite ;)  It is finally functional though, so I can get back to doing some stamping again this weekend!  Can't wait!!

Fabulous Blooms

Happy Monday...and happy summer!!  I am officially on summer holidays from school...WOOHOO!!  It usually takes me a couple of weeks to truly unwind and stop thinking about my classess and curriculum, but is it ever nice to be able to turn it off for a while.
Today I have another over-sized card I made for one of our departing staff members.  I used the brand-new Flower Patch photopholymer stamp set and coordinating Flower Fair Framelits (try saying that one 5 times fast!).

Thank you card featuring the Flower Patch stamp set with sentiment from Million and One.
I just love this stamp set!  There are so many possible combinations to create beautiful flower images and the fact that the stamps are clear makes layering images a breeze.  In case you want to try layering yourself, here are the colour combinations I used:  Daffodil Delight with Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana with Bermuda Bay, and Strawberry Slush with Rose Red.

I used the starburst image from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set, stamped in Crushed Curry ink, as a background for the sentiment, which is heat embossed in black.  I used the Labels Collection framelits to die cut the label and the black mat behind it.  The flowers were die cut using the Flower Fair Framelits.  The card front is matted on Bermuda Bay and then layered on a Basic Black card base.

I spent tons of time working on my new craft room this weekend!  It is looking fabulous!  I am so excited to finally have my own "sanctuary", as my husband calls it, where everything has a place and I can spread out and create till my heart's content.  I can't wait to share it with you all...it won't be long now ;)
