One Card, Two Looks

My monthly techniques group meets this week and one of the gals asked if we could do a baby congrats card.  I am always happy to oblige requests when I can and wanted to come up with something that didn't scream "baby" so that the other members of the group could alter the greeting in the event they weren't in need of a baby card.  So, here is what I came up with...one card, two looks:

Baby Card featuring the Baby Bundle and Sweet Essentials stamp sets and using the Faux Quilting technique.

Birthday card featuring the Pretty Postage and Sweet Essentials stamp sets.
I think both cards work!  I switched up the birthday card a little by using a different TIEF for the Faux Quilting and changing the ribbon colour.  Both are easy subsitutions in a class situation, so I think this design should work for everyone.  Sure hope they all like it!

Simple Cheerful Treat project

Today's post is another project I designed as a make-n-take for my hostess appreciation night coming up this Friday.  It is a cute little wine bottle tag, perfect to add to your favourite beverage the next time you're invited to dinner.  We are heading to my husband's sister's on Sunday  for a BBQ and this will be perfect to add to a yummy bottle of ready-to-serve-chocolate martini!  Check it out:
Bottle tag using the Pretty Postage set (from the Summer mini, but also in the new Catty!!) as well as Cheerful Treat Hostess-only DSP.

Flowers were punched using my boho blossoms punch...one I neglect far too much!
Isn't this a cute little tag?  My hostesses are going to love it even more when they see what they're going to receive to to with it ;o)  I can't wait to spoil them all silly on Friday night!  We are going to have a blast!  I have lots of games and prizes for them and one more project which I'll post tomorrow.  I am so busy with school work and getting ready for this event I haven't even had time to think about designing anything for this week's challenges.  Here's hoping tomorrow night is a creative one!

Summer Mini Sneak Peek

Last night I had two large workshop orders come in and as I was sorting the orders I realized I didn't have enough thank you cards to put in with each one.  I headed down to my stamping corner and got busy creating some cute little thank you cards using some of the products from the upcoming Summer Mini.  Here they are...

Thank you card using Pretty Postage set and coordinating postage stamp punch from the upcoming Summer Mini

This one uses the Beyond The Garden DSP and Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch (soooo cool!)

More pretty prints from the Beyond The Garden DSP pack.

Sill more Beyond the Garden DSP and more fun with the Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch (it really is THREE punches in one!!)
I love the bright, cheerful colours in the Beyond the Garden DSP pack...you will too!  Especially since there is a stamp set that coordinates with it as well as coloured embossing powder!!  More on that later...
The highlight here, I think is the paper and the cool new punch.  The last card really shows the many different layers one can get with this new punch.  It really is very neat...had a bit of a learning curve, but is great once you get the hang of it!  I'll have lots more to show you from the new mini this weekend...in the meantime happy Friday everyone!!
