When I spotted Lyssa's card online I knew I had to recreate it. Not only because it spoke to my soul, but also because it showcases the new Seasonal Layers Thinlits and Colour Theory DSP beautifully. To create the seascape, I began with a piece of the ombre patterned DSP. I tore it and then layered it, creating the sky, horizon, crest of waves and water. Not bad for a single piece of paper, huh? The shore is more torn paper...this time Sahara Sand card stock. To add depth and interest I stamped some of the images from the High Tide stamp set in Sahara Sand and Old Olive ink. I stamped the birds in the sky using Marina Mist ink (ask when the last time was that I cracked THAT colour open!). The sentiment is from the Colourful Season stamp set and is stamped in Dapper Denim ink. That fabulous Muskoka Chair is die-cut using the Season Layers thinlits from a piece of Wood Textures DSP. I love the way the chair looks worn and aged by the elements.
On the inside I added a panel of Whisper White card stock on which I stamped more sand dunes, grass and birds. I also added another sentiment from the Colourful Seasons stamp set in Dapper Denim.
