Last Call for Sale-a-bration 2017!

Well, we knew this day would come, but it is still a wee bit sad. Today is the final day of our best promotion of the year. At midnight tonight Sale-a-bration goes away for another year. Before it does, I have a couple more projects to share with you that feature Sale-a-bration freebies you can still order today...

This is yet another card I made using the Make a Medallion stamp set. I told you I couldn't get enough of it! Here I used colours that speak to my soul...lots of bright shades. My palette included Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo...be still my heart. The background panel is embossed using the Lovely Lace TIEF...it works beautifully with this stamp set. The medallion and glimmer paper mat are both die-cut using the Layering Circles framelits. I used the Classic Label punch to punch out the sentiment and popped it up with a trimmed dimensional.

I layered two different ribbons for added texture...Cucumber Crush 5/8" striped ribbon and Melon Mambo 1/8" stitched ribbon. I also added some rhinestones that I coloured with an alcohol marker for more bling.

On the inside I created a border using some of the elements from the Make a Medallion set...I love the way it turned out. So simple.

My second project is one I am featuring in my Watercolour 101 class next month. It features the Inside the Lines DSP used with the spotlighting technique. I used my watercolour pencils and blender pen to colour the flowers. The dragonflies are die-cut using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and is the only stamping on this card!

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another of the sentiments from the Birthday Blooms stamp set. I love the mixed fonts in these sentiments.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend...don't forget to get your final Sale-a-bration order in before midnight tonight.

More Medallions for Sunday Stamps

Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend. Mine has been crazy-busy as I hosted back-to-back jam-packed card buffets this week. So much stamping so with many wonderful friends!
Today marks the start of a new colour challenge over at Sunday Stamps. Check it out...

Here is my project for the Design Team:

I couldn't resist pulling out the Make a Medallion stamp set once again for this challenge. I am so loving the ease with which it allows me to create beautifully detailed images with multiple colours! Here is a better look at the gorgeous images...

To create my medallion I began by inking my first image with Rich Razzleberry ink and then, using a sponge dauber, I added some Blackberry Bliss (yep...pulled out my all-time favourite retired In-Colour!)...you can see the ombre effect...so very cool! I also used Mint Macaron and Pool Party ink to fill in the rest of the medallion. I absolutely LOVE this colour palette!

I die-cut the medallion using the Layering Circles framelits and then adhered it to a Lacy Doily that I had inked with Blackberry Bliss ink. I love the way the shape of the doily mimics the medallion. I finished it off with a (retired) Iced Rhinestone embellishment.

The sentiment is heat embossed in silver. I layered the card front on a Rich Razzleberry card stock mat before mounting it on a Smoky Slate card stock base. I added some silver 5/8" satin ribbon and layered some Rich Razzleberry ribbon over top...I really like the contrast in the textures of the two ribbons. Of course, I couldn't stop at just one rhinestone, so I added a few more for extra bling ;)

On the inside I stamped  a few more medallions on a layer of Whisper White card stock and added it to the Smoky Slate card base.

I am sooooo going to miss this beautiful stamp set when it goes away in just a few short days. If you haven't yet gotten your hands on it, you had better hurry...time is running out!
Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's projects and then give this awesome colour challenge a try!
