Lots of Hearts

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a good week.

This week I am all about the hearts...Lots of Hearts!

Check out this bright and cheerful card...

How could anyone's day not be brightened by receiving a happy card like this?

I began with a piece of Oh So Ombre DSP as my background panel and stamped some of the small heart image from the Lots of Hearts stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink. Then I did some tone-on-tone stamping on Gorgeous Grape, Magenta Madness and Bermuda Bay card stock, using inks in the same shade. I love the rich colour that results! I die-cut each of the stamped hearts using the Many Hearts dies. The sentiment is stamped on white card stock and die-cut using one of the labels from the Potted Succulents dies. Here is a closer look...

I embellished with some Playful Pets twine, a Heart Charm and some little Resin Hearts...so much pattern and texture!
On the inside I added a white panel on which I stamped another sentiment from the Lots of Hearts stamp set and another little Bermuda Bay heart, stamped off once.

I demonstrated this fun card, along with two others using this bundle, in  the video below:

Always & Forever and a Blog Hop

Happy Friday! Are you as thankful it is the weekend as I am? These weeks of online teaching are exhausting...I am SO ready for a break from all that screen time I've been logging!

Today is the 15th of the month, which means it is time for another Stamping Symphony Blog Hop!

This month we are all about new products from the January - June Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration. Check out this card that uses products from both...

masking technique

This pretty card is made so quick and easy by the Oh So Ombre DSP, which is free with a $60 order during Sale-a-bration. I stamped the floral images from the Forever & Always stamp set in Basic Grey ink several times on the DSP panel. I used a post-it-note mask to cover the images I wanted to layer...I love the way the use of a mask creates instant depth and perspective on a design!
I stamped the "Forever &" sentiment in Basic Grey as well and then, on a scrap of Whisper White card stock, I stamped the "Always" using Rococo Rose ink. I used the coordinating Always Dies to die but the stamped work and then popped it up on the stamped DSP panel. I added a little spatter of Champagne Mist shimmer paint for some texture and sparkle.

How yummy is that ribbon?? It is the new Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon and it is utterly gorgeous! All it took was a little scrap to add instant sparkle and shine to my card. Those little gold sprigs are trimmed from one of the sheets in the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty paper pack. Such an easy way to create a DIY gold embellishment. Of course, I had to add a little bling with some gold Gilded Gems.

On the inside of my Rococo Rose card base, I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped more of the floral images from the Forever & Always stamp set in Basic Grey ink. I omitted a sentiment for now, as this card could work work a wedding, anniversary or even Valentine's Day. By leaving my options open, I can always add a stamped sentiment when the right occasion arises.

For a demonstration on how I made this card, and for some tips on the masking technique, check out the video below...

Forever & Always Man Card

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a good week.

Did you catch my live launch party last Friday evening over on my Facebook business page for the new January - June Mini Catalogue? I showcased 7 products suites and three bundles and demonstrated 3 make-n-takes. It was a great evening! If you missed it you can still catch the replay on my YouTube channel...

One of the product suites I featured is the Love You Always Suite. It is an absolutely GORGEOUS mega suite, with two stamp/die bundles, three papers, embellishments and more. This week I am all about the Forever & Always bundle...

Now, this stamp set may appear quite feminine with the beautiful florals, but I wanted to showcase a more masculine take on it...

Isn't that background DSP positively YUMMY??  It is from the Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper pack and is just perfect for more masculine projects. I layered it on a piece of Love You Always Foil is Sahara Sand and I love the way the foil brings out the leaf pattern on the paper. Before layering the DSP onto the foil, I die-cut the word "always" using the Always Dies from the bundle (this is a great way to conserve paper...no one will ever know there was a die-cut out of the middle of that foil layer!) I layered the foil die-cut on a Basic White shadow die-cut so that it would pop against the background. The stamped sentiments are stamped in Memento black ink on Sahara Sand card stock.

The label behind the sentiment is die-cut using the Stitched Nested Labels dies from the True Love Designer Paper. This is another paper pack that on first glance appearance very feminine, but the reverse side of ever sheet has fabulous black and white patterns on it, making it the most versatile pack in the catalogue, in my opinion.

To embellish my card, I added some Forever Greenery ribbon, linen thread and wooden leaves from the In Good Taste Elements.

On the inside of my Basic Black card stock base, I added a Basic White panel on which I stamped the "Love" sentiment in Sahara Sand ink and "You More" in Memento Black.

I am super-happy with the way this project turned out...I think it will be my hubby's Valentine's card this year!

I demonstrated this card along with two others using this suite in the video below:

5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Basic Black card stock, scored at 4-1/4"

4" x 5-1/4" Love You Always Specialty Designer Paper (Sahara Sand pattern)
