Today marks the start of a new sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps. I will admit that I was a wee bit behind after being away at OnStage last week and was rushing at the last minute to get my design team card done. Thank goodness this is a super-easy sketch to work with! Check it out:
Here is my quick and easy card:
I seriously pulled this card together with bits and pieces that were sitting on my desk...THAT'S how big a rush I was in! I began with a piece of Wood Textures DSP which I mounted on an Early Espresso card stock base. I adhered some die-cut pine branches, cut from Garden Green card stock using the Pretty Pines Thinlits. I used three of the largest stars from the Hearts and Stars Elements, daubing on a bit of Whisper White craft ink to give them a whitewashed look. I also added some Wink of Stella to each star, but it doesn't show up in the photos.
The sentiment is from the Star of Light stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink on a scrap of Wood Textures DSP. I adehered it to the stars using Mini Dimensionals. I added three pearls that I had coloured using the darkest shade of Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends marker.
On the inside I simply stamped a sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set in Early Espresso ink.
See? I told you it was super quick and easy! Now go check out the rest of the Design Team's work and give this sketch a try. We'd love to see what you come up with, so be sure to share it with us over at Sunday Stamps!
