Beautiful Merry Boughs and a Blog Hop

Happy Friday! Are you surprised to see me today? I normally don't post on Fridays, but today is the 15th of the month, which means it's time for our monthly Stamping Symphony blog hop!

This month we are all about Christmas...can you believe it's less than 6 weeks away?? Because I am featuring the Peaceful Boughs bundle this week, I thought I would show you just how beautiful the pine bough die-cuts are when used as embellishments on a card. Check this out...

Here, I created my own sparkly embellishments by heat embossing the Whisper White die-cut pine boughs using the Shimmery White embossing powder. I supposed I could have used glimmer paper, but I was out and this was an easy substitute. Here's a closer look...

Do you recognize the silver foil DSP in the background? It is from the Feels Like Frost pack! I sponged on Seaside Spray, BlueBerry Bushel and Night of Navy inks to get the ombre effect. I love it! The Whisper White panel in the background is embossed using the Stylish Scroll embossing folder...I sure hope that one carries over after this catalogue is done...I have used it a TON!

The sentiment die is from the Merry Christmas die set from the Annual Catalogue. I used the coordinating Merry Christmas To All stamp set for the stamped greeting, stamping it in Night of Navy ink on a scrap strip of Feels Like Frost DSP for a soft look.

I love using non-traditional colours on Christmas about you? Are you a red, white and green kinda stamper or do you tend toward more adventurous colour combinations for Christmas? Leave a comment below and let me know! Then be sure to hop on over to the next blog to see what Sandy has to share...

Thanks for stopping by...have a great weekend!

  1. I love this card. While I'm normally a traditional red, green, white person, I LOVE the Feels Like Frost paper and silver is traditional to me too! I might try the blue tones on the paper. TFS.
