Happy First-Monday-After-the-Time-Change...how are you holding up? I have to say, this is the hardest the change has ever hit me, due, in large part, to the change in dates for spring break. Normally I'm on holidays this week, but, here in Ontario, Covid numbers are once again on the rise and our Ministry of Ed decided to postpone the break until mid-April. Not sure how that helps anything, but it is what it is and it means that I have to drag myself through this week after having lost an hour of sleep over the weekend. Gotta say, I REALLY liked it better when I was on vacation this week!
But enough complaints from me...it is the 15th of the month, which means it is time for another Stamping Symphony blog hop! We are down a few stampers this month, as some are taking a break, but there is still some awesome inky inspiration to be had!
This month we are all about spring and I thought it would be the perfect time to showcase the fabulous Oval Occasions Bundle...
Check out this adorable baby card...
I used a piece of Hydrangea Hill Designer Paper for my background...I love the subtle tone-on-tone look of this pattern. I layered it with a piece of Purple Posy DSP from the out-going In-Color family 6" x 6" stack. Highland Heather is seriously going to miss Purple Posy...and so am I!
I die-cut a wreath from Soft Sea Foam card stock using the Wreath Builder dies and layered it behind my stamped stitched circle. I used Basic Gray ink to stamp my image and Purple Posy, Soft Sea Foam and Grey Granite Blends to colour it in. This image is so stinkin' sweet! My sentiment is stamped in Basic Grey ink and punched using the Double Oval Punch. I added just a hint of a square vellum doily to soften and frame the sentiment. Here's a closer look...
To embellish and soften the look, I added some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and a few Pastel Pearls. I love this look! This card could easily be made as an Easter card with just a change in sentiment...gotta love a versatile design.
On the inside of my Purple Posy card base, I added a Basic White panel on which I stamped another sentiment in Basic Grey and some sweet little flowers, which I coloured with my Blends.
I absolutely ADORE this card...so soft and pretty...perfect for a sweet new baby or to send Easter wishes.
I demonstrated this card and two others using the Oval Occasions bundle in the video below...check it out!
Now, before you go, be sure to hop on over to Barb's blog to see what springtime goodness she has in store...
I do love those bunnies!
