For the Bride

Happy Monday everyone!  I am especially enjoying this one because in just four short days I'll be on holidays for a week!  Yippee...more time to stamp!  I'm also excited to show you my project for this month over at Craft Project Central.  Check it out:

Bridal Shower Ensemble featuring a favour box, invitation and coordinating Thank You card.

Invitation with embossed envelope

Cute favour boxes

Coordinating Thank You note
So, whaddya think?  I had great fun designing these projects!  I've had the idea for the favour box for quite a while and this was the perfect chance to make it happen.  I also love that it is customizable...change the accent colour to coordinate with the Bride's wedding colours.  It could also easily be changed up for a little girl's princess party.  (Almost makes me wish I had a little girl to make this for...almost!)
There are two ways you can get your hands on the tutorial for these projects:  you can subscribe to March over at Craft Project Central for just $10 where you'll get this and 9 other fantastic projects, or you can head over to my Facebook page and LIKE me!  You'll be entered into a draw for a free month's subscription.  How easy is that?!?  Just do it before March 10th, as I'll be drawing a winner and posting it on Facebook on the 11th.

Beribboned Ornament

How is it Monday already??  Where do the weekends go?  It never seems that I get through my To-Do List until Sunday night and just when I'm ready to relax, it's back to work!  Ah...can't wait to retire!  January 2026 seems a long way off!!
In the meantime, I have another card that I did with my monthly techniques group last week.  I CASE'd it from one I saw on Pinterest...what's not to love about Pinterest?!?  Check it out:

CAS Holiday card featuring the Curly Cute stamp set and lots of ribbon scraps!
Talk about a great way to use up your bits of ribbon!  I dug deep in my scrap bin for any shades of green ribbon I could find.  Even though they are all different, I think they work rather well together!  I added the red bits as an accent and finished it all with a bow.  I used the Festive Piercing template to pierce holes all the way around the ornament (did you know you can get that piercing pack for free this month?!)  The sentiment is stamped in Real Red and bordered with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch.  The rhinestones are simply coloured with a red sharpie!  Super easy and economical...try one today if you've got ribbon scraps laying around!

Another Self-CASE

Today I have another version of a card I posted last spring.  It features a couple of my favourite products.  Have a look:

Nature-inspired birthday card featuring the Papillon Potpourri stamp set with sentiment from Curly Cute.
Can you guess which products on this card are my fav's?  For starters it is the Natural Compositions DSP.  LOVE that stuff!!  On this card I sponged it all-over with Raspberry Ripple ink...so rich!  The second favourite item is actually two, but they coordinate, so they really count as one in my book.  The Papillion Potpourri stamp set and coordinating Elegant Butterfly punch are just such a fabulous combo!  They make creating beautiful butterfly embellishments so fast and easy.  On this card I stamped the two smaller butterflies on the card stock and then stamped, punched and popped up the larger butterfly.  So pretty and so easy!  I added a little 3/8" taffeta ribbon in soft suede and some pearls to girlie it up but take off the ribbon and pearls and change the pink to blue or green and this card could easily work for a man as well.  I may just CASE myself on this one again if the need arises!

Team Congrats

Last month two members of my Tri-City Stampers team achieved promotions!  We honoured them at our team meeting last night and today I want to share the cards I made for them.  Have a look...

Congratulations card featuring the Button, Button stamp set with sentiment from Curly Cute.

Congratulations card featuring the Workshop Words (retired) stamp set.
The first card is for one of my team members who is a hobby demonstrator and just loves Stampin' Up, but who is also a wonderful seamstress and retired Family Studies teacher.  I know she likes the Button, Button stamp set, so I used it, along with each of the new In-Colours, to create her card.  I added a bit of scoring detail to the sentiment panel with my Simply Scored Scoring Tool and some texture to the background with my Square Lattice TIEF.  The second card is for a gal who is working hard to build her business and uses a bunch of retired product, as well as some brand new ones!  The background is embossed with the Chevron TIEF, which is new to the catalogue this year.  The DSP is from the Snow Festival pack from the new Holiday Catty.  The large and medium star punches are retired, but the small and extra-small stars are from the Holiday Collection Framelits and Merry Minis punch packs respectively.  The sentiment is from a set called Workshop Words that we received at Convention last year.  The colour scheme is Gumball Green, Melon Mambo and Whisper White...though the colour in the photo is a bit off.  My wonderful photography skills strike again!
In addition to these cards, my team members also receive product rewards when they reach various milestones.  I want them to feel as special and appreciated as they are!  For more information about joining my team of wonderful stampers, click HERE.  I'd love to chat with you about all the wonderful benefits of the Stampin' Up opportunity.

What's on your desk?

I knew it was time to clean up my stamping corner when my son came downstairs the other day and said "Mommy, what a mess!  You need to clean this up!"  You know it's bad when  a 5-year-old says it's time to clean up!  As I was digging through the pile of months' worth of scraps I found a piece of Whisper White I had embossed and then cast aside.  It became the foundation for today's project.  Have a look:

Baby Card featuring the  Baby Boutique and One in a Million stamp sets

Inside view with sentiment from Curly Cute.
Whaddya think?  It wasn't much of a leap to arrive at a baby card with all that embossing.  I added a scrap of Patio Party DSP and used a bit of pleated satin ribbon leftover  from the last Occasions Mini that I also found laying in the pile on my desk (that'll give you an idea how long it's been since I cleaned up!)  I love the new Baby Boutique stamp set...so sweet!  I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunity to use this card this summer.  SO many gals I know are expecting...surely one of them will have a little boy!
