It's a Sale-a-bration Blog Hop!

Happy Friday...who's ready for the weekend?? This weekend is a busy one for me! Today we are holding our monthly Stamping Symphony Blog Hop AND our first-ever Instagram Hop and then tomorrow is the kick-off of my annual retired product BOGO sale. So much happening, so let's get to it!

This month our blog hop theme is Sale-a-bration and I have a fun little gift box and card duo to share...

Both the card and box are made using the Sale-a-bration card and envelopes! I LOVE when I can make cute projects using FREE product! Let's take a closer look...

For the card, I used one of the Soft Sea Foam card bases. The stitched rectangle layer is die-cut from one of the envelopes I disassembled. Those envelopes are printed on the inside and are just too pretty not to use on a project! I die-cut several of the botanical elements from Pool PArty and Soft Sea Foam card stock. The stamped images are stamped in Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam ink and then coloured with the light Stampin' Blends of the same shade. I die-cut the pot from a scrap of the gorgeous Splendid Day Designer Paper for a hit of glam.

My favourite part of this little duo is this adorable treat box. It measures 2-3/4" wide x 4" tall and is 3/4" deep. It is perfectly sized to hold chocolate, a gift card, handmade soaps, a cookie...so many possibilities! Here are the details...

I started with one of the Pool Party card bases from the Sale-a-bration cards and envelopes pack. Without folding the card base and with the long side of the card base at the top, I cut 3/4" off the non printed half of the card base. Then, I scored the printed half at 3-1/2".  Then I scored all four sides at 3/4". A quick snip of all of the flaps with my paper snips, some folding and adhesive and I had the cutest little mini shirt box.  I demonstrated this project in my Facebook live this week...you can see the replay on my YouTube channel...the video link is posted below.

To decorate the box I used more of the disassembled enveloped, some die-cuts and more of that gorgeous Splendid Day Designer Paper. I added a bit of Pool Party Sheer ribbon to tie the box closed, which adds the perfect bit of shimmer.

Saleabration Countdown Day 7: Friendly Hello

 Happy Monday! Just one more sleep until the launch of the new January-June Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration 2022...who's excited??

Today is the final day of my week-long countdown to launch day...and I've saved my very favourite Sale-a-bration freebie for last! The Friendly Hello bundle includes a fabulous stamp set and coordinating Designer Paper pack and is utterly FANTASTIC! Check out some of the samples I've made:

Another pretty swap card

I am so IN LOVE with this Designer Paper pack! So many beautiful patterns in soft pastels and bright spring-like colours. It sure makes me dream of warmer days on this frigid January morning! I used two different patterns on this simple fun fold. I absolutely love the combination of Pool Party, black and white...it's such a stunning palette!

I used the new Hive 3D embossing folder on the white inset panel...this is one that is going to get A TON of use in my studio! The flowers are stamped in black and then inked using a sponge dauber...super quick and easy way to colour! The leaves and sprigs behind the flowers are punched from Basic Black and Pool Party card stock using the Bough punch...another must-have from the new Mini. I used the Potted Succulents Dies to cut the sentiment label.

Can you see the hint of sparkle on the black leaves? I added Wink of Stella and they really shimmer in real life...it is so hard to capture that with a camera.  I added some Sheer Pool Party ribbon and some new Classic Matte Dots to embellish.

Saleabration Countdown Day 6: Catching Butterflies

 Happy Sunday...and welcome to Day 6 of my countdown to Sale-a-bration 2022. Today I am all about the adorable Catching Butterflies stamp set. The image of the girl in this set reminds me of my niece...barefoot, in a dress, outdoors catching butterflies. That is SO something she would do! I have had such fun playing with this set and experimenting with different ideas. Here are a few I've come up with:

I used some of the new Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Paper on this one...LOVE that stuff!

This is a swap card I received...so cute!

I am so loving this birthday card! I used another pattern from the Abstract Beauty DSP pack for the background. The sheets in this pack are 4" x 6", so there is absolutely ZERO waste! The 3/4" horizontal strip is what I cut off the background layer! Instead of a butterfly net, I wanted my sweet girl to be holding a bunch of balloons, so I stamped the balloon image from the Penguin Place stamp set and fussing cut them out. The sentiment is from the Awesome Otters set. I used one of the label dies from the Potted Succulents dies for the sentiment.

To colour the image I used Light Flirty Flamingo for the dress, Dark and Light Petal Pink for the skin tones and Light So Saffron and Light Crumb Cake for the hair. 

I added some Blushing Bride twine and a few In-Colour Gems to embellish.

On the inside I added a sentiment from the Catching Butterflies stamp set, which works beautifully for a birthday card.
