Countdown to Sale-a-bration - Heal Your Heart

 Happy Monday, and welcome to day 7 of my countdown to Sale-a-bration series! Just one more sleep till the BEST promotion of the year begins! There is nothing like FREE stamping products to get me excited!

Today I am focusing on the Heal Your Heart stamp set and the Flower and Field Designer Paper. Both of these are GORGEOUS products!

Paper this beautiful called for an extra-special card...check out this fun-fold design:

Although this is a super-simple fun fold to make, it sure packs a huge WOW! I wish I could take credit for this fold, but I must give credit to my friend and card-making hero, Patty Bennet for the basic layout. To create the card base, start with a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of card stock and then, with the 8-1/2" side at the top, score at: 2", 3-1/8", 5-3/8" and 6-1/2". 

I used a single piece of Flower and Field DSP for my background. The blue floral pattern on the side panels are one side of the paper and the green pattern on the centre panel is the reverse side. The sentiment label is die-cut from Whisper White card stock using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Heal Your Heart stamp set in black ink. The gold filigree element behind the label is from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. The flowers are from the Floral Essence stamp set. I stamped them in Misty Moonlight ink on card stock of the same shade and then punched them out with the Perennial Flower punch. I added white highlights to the petals using a white watercolour pencil and some gold metallic pearls to the centres. I added some greenery, die-cut using the Forever Flourishing dies, from Shaded Spruce card stock. Here's a closer look...

Countdown to Sale-a-bration - Berry Blessings

 Happy Sunday and welcome to day six of my countdown to Sale-a-bration series! I am having so much fun playing with all of the awesome products from this year's Sale-a-bration brochure, but I have to say, I think the Berry Blessing stamp set and coordinating Berry Delightful Designer Paper are my favourites.

Isn't that Designer Paper just to-die-for? The colours and images are SO yummy! The coordinating Berry Blessings stamp set is a two-step stamping set, featuring both line-art and solid images. I love having the option to stamp or colour my images.  Here, I have stamped both the outline and the solid images. I used Granny Apple Green for the leaves and Pacific Point for the blueberries. I used the Stitched So Sweetly and Stitched Rectangle dies to cut my Whisper White card stock. Here's a closer look...

The little flowers are punched from the Berry Delightful Designer Paper using the Strawberry Builder Punch, which coordinates perfectly with this bundle! And can we just take a moment to appreciate the utter cuteness of that little ladybug embellishment? 

When opened, the card reveals a panel upon which to write a message. I omitted a sentiment to allow maximum space to write.

Countdown to Sale-a-bration - A Touch of Ink

 It's almost here! Just  THREE more sleeps until the launch of Sale-a-bration 2021! I am counting down the days by featuring a different Sale-a-bration product each day. Today I am all about the beautiful A Touch of Ink stamp set...

This set is HUGE, which is why it is a Level Two Sale-a-bration item, free with a $120 order here in Canada. The set includes outline and solid images for easy Two-Step stamping. Of course, the outline images can also be coloured, making this set super-versatile. There are also several different sentiments appropriate for lots of different occasions. Check out this pretty card...

As I type this post, the snow is gently falling outside my window and spring seems SO far away! The soft colours and images in this card remind me that spring WILL come eventually and my garden will bloom with beautiful colour again. 

To create this look, I began with some of the GORGEOUS Oh So Ombre Designer Paper (a Level One Sale-a-bration freebie!), using both the patterned and solid prints. I embossed the Blushing Bride layer with the new Painted Texture embossing folder...so fabulous! I stamped the flower images using Rococo Rose for the outline and Blushing Bride for the solid image. I added some spatters in Soft Sea Foam. The humming bird is stamped in Basic Gray for the outline and then I added Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam and Granny Apple Green with a sponge dauber to the solid image. I fussy-cut the humming bird out and popped it up to add dimension. Here's a closer look...

The ribbon actually began Whisper White, but then I coloured it using the Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends so that it would coordinate with my background. I love using my Blends this way to achieve custom coloured ribbon in any shade I need.

Countdown to Sale-a-bration - Paper Blooms Designer Paper

 Happy New Year!! Wishing you and yours health, happiness and many blessings in 2021! Our family rang in the new year in our Pj's, counting the minutes till we could put 2020 behind us. Even though it was a very difficult year, we still have much for which to be thankful.

For day four of my Countdown to Sale-a-bration, I thought I would kick off the new year with something I love...playing with gorgeous Designer Series Paper! The Paper Blooms DSP pack is SO pretty...and what makes it even better is that it is FREE with a $60 order during Sale-a-bration beginning January 5th, 2021!

When I have beautiful paper, I love designing projects that show it off. Check out this cute little note card folder:

This folder is SO easy to create from a single sheet of 12" x 12" Designer Paper and was inspired by Patty Bennet's adorable Christmas version from a few years ago. Inside, there is room for 4 note cards and envelopes...

Of course, I had to decorate my envelopes as well ;) Can you believe the only stamping on this entire project is the sentiments? I used the Many Messages Bundle which is going to be my new best friend. With one stamp, I stamped NINETEEN different sentiments. Then, using the coordinating Messages Die, I die cut each one into a uniquely-shaped label with just a single pass through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. How awesome is that?? Talk about a timesaver! 

In order to allow all four cards to fit in the folder I had to keep my designs relatively simple and limit the embellishments. It is amazing what one can do with just paper to create pretty cards!

With paper this pretty, ribbon and embellishments just aren't necessary. I did do some fussy cutting of some of the flower images to create my focal points....but they are SUPER easy to cut...even for those who are allergic to fussy cutting ;)

As much as I love the floral images, I had to do one masculine card for the men in our lives. Those little stars are also included in the Many Messages stamp and are cut using the Messages die. Such a bonus! This was the only card on which I allowed myself to use some twine...because boys like bows too!
