Happy last day of 2021! I don't know about you, but I am not sad to see this difficult year end. While I am cautiously hopeful that things will look MUCH better this time next year, I am still very much aware that we are still in the midst of very dark days in this pandemic. So I thought it would be a good time to bring a little sunshine to your world...literally! The Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper is my focus today and it is bound to brighten you day...and your craft projects! Check out this cheery samples...
This is a card I designed for a swap I recently participated in...It just makes me happy!
Every element (except the sentiment) on this card is from the Designer Paper...no stamping required!
Some of the images in the pack coordinate with the new Cloud punch...gotta love cross-coordination!
What do you do when you have a bunch of scraps leftover from making swaps? You use them on a new design!
This cute corner-tuck card is utterly adorable! I used three different patterns from the Sunshine & Rainbows pack and absolutely LOVE the way they all work together. My card base is Misty Moonlight card stock, cut to 4-1/4" x 8-1/4" and scored at 5-1/2". The centre panel card stock is 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" and the polka dot DSP is 3" x 4". The rainbow striped DSP on the side panel is 2-1/2" x 4" and the triangle in the corner is a 2" square, cut on the diagonal.
How fabulous are those die-cut words?? They are cut using the new Amazing Thanks dies...coming soon in the new Mini! I added Wink of Stella to the letters to make them pop off the page.
On the inside I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP and then a 3" x 4" Basic White panel to stamp on. The sentiment from the coordination Rainbow of Happiness stamp set.
I demonstrated this card in the video below...check it out!
Thanks so much for dropping by today...be sure to come back tomorrow for day 5!
Welcome to day three of my week-long countdown to the launch of Saleabration 2022! Today I am shifting my focus from stamp sets to Designer Paper. There are several beautiful paper packs in this year's Saleabration offering, some of which coordinate with products from the new January-June Mini Catalogue. The Daffodil Afternoon pack is one such product.
Although it is designed to coordinate with the Daffodil Daydream bundle, the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Paper has no trouble holding its own as the focal image on a project. Check out these samples and you'll see what I mean!
All this card needed was a sentiment and some embellishments...the DSP does all the work!
I fussy-cut some daffodils from the DSP to add as accents on this one.
More fussy-cut flowers plus a sentiment here.
If a pattern is too busy and overwhelms the design, adding a layer of vellum is a great way to tone down the pattern so that the other elements on your project can shine.
I absolutely love the simplicity of this one...again, just a sentiment and some embellishments are all that is needed.
This spanner fun fold was inspired by a swap card I received this week. It is the perfect way to showcase this beautiful paper and, again, only requires the addition of a sentiment to complete the card.
I used Basic Black as my base because I love the way it sets off the colours in the DSP and really makes them pop. I also really love black with Very Vanilla...a little bit softer than the contrast between black and white. The card base is standard 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4". Then, with the 5-1/2" side at the top, I cut from top edge down to the score line at 1-1/4" on both sides. The spanner piece is 1-1/4" x 5-1/2".
The DSP layers are 1" x 4" and 2-3/4" x 4". The vanilla pieces are 1" x 2-3/4" for the front and 2-3/4" x 4" for the inside.
On the inside of the card I added another stamped sentiment from the Special Moments SAB set. It has TWENTY-ONE different sentiment stamps!
This is such an easy fun fold and is a great way to switch up your card design to something a little bit unexpected. I demonstrated this card in the video below...check it out!
Thanks for stopping by today...see you tomorrow for Day 4!
The countdown continues today as we inch closer to the launch of the new January-June Mini catalogue and Saleabration 2022! I love the timing of this launch, as it gives us stampers something to get excited about after the holidays.
Today I am channeling the tropics with the Island Vibes stamp set. This is another Sale-a-bration freebie with a $60 order. Here are some samples I made using this fun set and several other tropical/beach themed products...
In addition to the stamp set, I used TWO more Sale-a-bration freebies on this card: Sunshine & Rainbows DSP and Simply Marbleous DSP...sentiment is from the new Celebrating You stamp set
This fun shaker card uses elements from the new Paradise Palms bundle as well as more of the Simply Marbleous DSP
Here I used some of the newArtfully Composed DSP, which has a decidedly tropical vibe. Sentiment is from the Special Moments Sale-a-bration stamp set.
This card is, by far, my favourite of the bunch. I love the large pineapple image in this set and featured it not once but three times on this card. I was going for a bit of a pop-art look. The rainbow DSP in the background is from the Sale-a-braiton Sunshine & Rainbows DSP and I pulled my colours from that, using Mango Melody, Magenta Madness and Granny Apple Green to stamp my pineapple.
How fun is the font on that die-cut sentiment?? It is from the new Amazing Thanks dies, which includes both the shadow and the detailed die. I cut the detailed image from the new Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper, which is so cool and sparkly!
On the inside of this card I added a sentiment from the Special Moments stamp set and a strip of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP.
I demonstrated this card in the video below...check it out:
Thanks for popping by today...have a great one. See you tomorrow for Day Three!
Happy Tuesday...how are you? I hope you had a joyous Christmas filled with love and peace. Here it was a quiet one, as my son was isolating due to a confirmed exposure to Covid in one of his classes at school. To be honest, it was kind of nice to not go anywhere or see anyone. It made for a ver relaxing few days! It also allowed me lots of time to play with new products! The 2022 January-June Mini and Sale-a-bration launch a week from today and I am counting down the days by featuring a different Sale-a-bration freebie each day. So you can expect a whole lot of post this week, along with a daily Facebook Live each afternoon at 5 ET...you're going to be sick of hearing from me by the end of the week!
Today I'm kicking off my countdown with one of my favourite Sale-a-bration items...the Awesome Otters stamp set. Check out these ca-ute samples...
This one also features the fabulous Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper...another SAB freebie that I'll be featuring later in the week!
This one uses another SAB freebie...the Simply Marbleous Designer Paper...so perfect with these cute little otters!
The sentiment on this one is from the Special Moments SAB stamp set...a fantastic Level 2 option.
This adorable shaker card is one I will be demonstrating in today's Facebook Live...it comes together so quickly! I used the Bark 3D embossing folder to emboss the Misty Moonlight card stock for the background. The water-like effect behind my shaker is die-cut from the Simply Marbleous Designer Paper...I see A LOT of this stuff in my future! I filled my shaker with some of the new Sparkle & Shine Sequins.
I used the Layering Diorama dies to create the pool for my otter to float in...the label is die-cut using the Hippo & Friends dies.
The sentiment on this inside of the card is from the Special Moments SAB stamp set...so many great sentiments in that set!
I demonstrated this card in the video below:
Thanks for stopping by...see you tomorrow for Day Two!
