Apple Harvest Good Luck

Happy Tuesday...and happy second-to-last day of August! Can you believe September is almost here?? I sure can, because I have to be back at work on the 1st!  Time sure flies when you're on summer vacation! This is the first year since pre-Covid that I actually feel rested and ready to start a new school year. I'm so very thankful for a rejuvenating break!

With the start of the school year I often like to give some of my colleagues a little something to start the year off right. The new Apple Harvest stamp set and coordinating Apple Blossom dies were the obvious choice for this year's cards! Check it out...

Now, I need to make sure you're aware that while the Apple Harvest stamp set is in the Holiday Mini and available right now, the coordinating dies are not. They are part of the Perfect Partners promotion that launches September 1st. The promo includes coordinating dies for several stamp sets from both the Annual and Mini catalogues...including this one!

The set includes dies that cut out the stamped images from the Apple Harvest stamp set (like the apples I used on my card) as well as dies to build a branch full of apple blossoms, a cute scalloped border die and a fabulous label. These dies will only be available during this promotion, while supplies last, so be sure to grab them early!

I used Stampin' Blends in Real Red, So Saffron and Granny Apple Green to colour my apples. The striped DSP in the background is from the soon-retiring Wonderful World Saleabration pack and the black and white plaid behind the apples is from the Rustic Harvest pack. The sentiment is stamped and die-cut using the Charming Sentiments bundle.

Check out the video below for a step-by-step demonstration of this card and two others using this fabulous bundle:

Thanks for stopping by today...have a great week!

Blackberry Beauty

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a smooth start. We are into week three of the school year and are gradually settling back into a routine. Here's hoping it continues and we make it through the year without any more closures!

This week Fall officially begins and I am turning my attention to one of my favourite suites in the Mini catalogue...Blackberry Beauty. Just look a the beautiful products included...

There is SO much to love about this suite, especially if you are a fall lover like me. Check out this project I made...

fall owl card

Is that owl, not gorgeous?? It is from the Ephemera pack and makes a beautiful focal point on my project. Paired with the Designer Paper, the elements in the Ephemera pack make for super-quick and easy projects. Take a closer look...

fall owl card

The background panel is a piece of Cinnaon Cider card stock on which I stamped the botanical images from the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set in ink of the same tone. Then I embossed the panel with the TImber 3D embossing folder for subtle texture. The DSP is from the Blackberry Beauty pack and adds the perfect bit of shine with the gold foil accents. The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set and is one of my new favourites. I added a bit of bling with some Gilded Gems for a quick and easy fall thank you card.

I'll be demonstrating this card and two others in today's Live @ Five video over on my Facebook page. I'd love it if you joined me live, but if you miss me, you can catch the replay shortly afterwards on my YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...have a great week!

Beauty of the Earth Fun Fold

Happy September...and happy first day of school to me! Even though I had to be in the school for three days last week for mandatory health and safety training, today is the first day we actually have students in the building! I have to admit I am excited at the thought of only teaching in person...no more online...for now! Who knows what this school year will bring...all I know is it can't possibly be worse than last year!

This week I thought I'd take a break from the mini catalogue and feature a gorgeous suite from the Annual Catalogue. Beauty of the Earth is aptly named, as it features stunning Designer Paper and tree images that can be used for just about any occasion. I have had such fun playing with this suite and have lots of ideas to share with you this week. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to make sure you don't miss a thing. Today I have a fun fold to share with you...

Stampin’ Up!

This card doesn't really look like anything special from the outside. I used three different patterns of the Designer Paper and the Beautiful Trees dies to create my scene. The sentiment is from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink. The label is die-cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The inside of this card is where the magic happens...

Stampin’ Up!

Creating the scene on the inside of the card is also not difficult, thanks to the beautiful Designer Paper. I created the "tunnel" using a 5-1/4" x 8" piece of Basic White card stock and the Tasteful Labels dies. I'll be demonstrating exactly how to do this in today's Live @ Five video over on Facebook. I hope you'll join me, but if you miss me live, I will link to the replay on YouTube later this evening. The measurements will be included in the video description so you'll be able to make a tunnel card of your own. These cards really aren't difficult, but sure do create a Wow-factor when they are opened.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...have a great week!
