Make a Wish...Broadway Style

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. It was a busy one here, as I held my new catalogue launch and Bingo event on Friday night. It was a packed house and LOTS of fun was had by all, especially the lucky winners. Saturday was all about cleaning up from the night before and setting up for my big BOGO sale next weekend. More on that later...

Today I want to show you a quick card I whipped up for my display on Friday evening. It features the Broadway Bound Suite.

This suite is SO much fun! I began with the specialty DSP...lots of rich gold metallic accents on that beautiful paper! I layered two different patternes to get the fun diagonal-striped border above and below my focal image. I used the new Subtle TEIF to emboss the Melon Mambo background layer. It doesn't photograph well, but if you have been around for a while and remember the textured card stock, Stampin' Up! used to carry, it will give you a good idea of what the embossed pattern looks like.

The "Wish" is die-cut using the Broadway Lights Thinlits...such a fun, bold font, which makes it a breeze to adhere. I added some gold metallic pearls that really do look like little marquee lights when they catch the light. Such a cool embellishment.

On the inside I added a Whisper Whtie layer on which I stamped another sentiment from the Broadway Birthday stamp set in black ink, as well as the party hat in Melon Mambo ink.

I'm so excited to see this month's Paper Pumpkin kit...it coordinates with this fun suite! I can't wait to see what additional touches it will include.

Now, back to my BOGO sale! It is this Saturday, June 16th from 8:30 am -12:30 pm at my home  in Cambridge, Ontario. If you are local I would love it if you stopped by. Drop me a message and I will send my address. I have over one hundred stamp sets, dozens of bundles, inks, paper, embellishment and more, that all need to find new homes. For every dollar you spend at my sale, you'll receive an equivalent credit on product from the new catalogue...talk about a deal! Double the stamping fun!! I hope to see you on Saturday. In the meantime, have a great week and be sure to check in later in the week for a special anniversary post and a blog hop!

A Rainbow of Vases

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. Ours was busy with a 50th Anniversary party to attend and LOTS of prep for upcoming events. I spent a ton of time pricing and organizing my retired items for my BOGO sale on June 16th. I also prepped the Make-n-Takes for my Catalogue Launch and BINGO coming up this Friday. I can't wait to show everyone the gorgeous new products. I love watching everyone's reaction when they get to see, touch and use new items.
Today I thought I'd share one of the projects we'll be creating. It uses the Varied Vases stamp set and coordinating Vases Builder punch, which are available in a discounted bundle. This was the bundle that I demonstrated at OnStage in early April and I absolutely fell in love with it! Check out this card:

Recognize that rainbow of colours? They're the brand-new In-Colors and they're AWESOME! So bright and cheerful! I want everyone at my event to see and use these new shades, so this card, which was inspired by a swap card I received from fellow Canadian demonstrator Emilie Poncelet recently. I love the way the bright colours pop agains the black matting. So fun!

I used the Softly Falling (still my go-to) TIEF to add texture to the Basic Black panel along the bottom. All of the images and the sentiment are from the Varied Vases stamp set...it is SUCH an awesome set! I added a couple of Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to the Grapefruit Grove and Call Me Clover vases. The add the perfect hint of shimmer.

On the inside I added another sentiment from the Varied Vases set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink as well as a rainbow of little flowers. This card just makes me happy...who would love to get a rainbow of flowers for their birthday?

Now, if you're local to me and haven't yet RSVP'd for Friday's event, there's still time! Just click the Upcoming Classes and Events tab above for details.

Before I sign-off, I want to be sure to mention my 2018/19 Annual Catalouge Ribbon Share. This allows you to purchase any ribbon/twine or trim from the new catalogue by the yard, instead of buying a whole 10-yard roll. This is a GREAT way to get a sampling of ribbons for less than you would pay for just a roll or two. I'll even pre-tie your bows for you! To learn more and/or place an order, click the image below.

Today is THE Day!

Happy Friday and happy new catalogue!! I am SOOO excited about this fantastic 30th Anniversary Edition Catalogue I can barely contain myself! This book is the very best we've had in a while and I can't wait to get my hands on new products!

If you haven't yet gotten your hands on a hard copy of this big book of awesome, you can view the PDF by clicking the image in the sidebar <<<< If live in Canada and don't already have a demonstrator, I'd be happy to send you a complimentary hard-copy. Just click HERE and request one. It's that easy!

Now, I thought I would say "Hello" to the new catalogue with a simple Z-fold card featuring a new stamp set...

I love it when Stampin' Up! releases new stamp sets that coordinate with existing products and this stamp set is no exception. The Accented Blooms set has several images that coordinate with the Tailored Tag punch, making this a must-have for those who already own that punch. I mean, why wouldn't you want more options to increase its versatility?

Here, I coloured the floral image with various shades of Stampin' Blends (they're back in stock...wahoo!!) and heat embossed the tag sentiment in gold. I love the fonts in this set!

The card itself is a simple Z-fold, which is an easy way to change it up from the standard fold. It also stands quite nicely for display. Now, since we made this card at my Stampin' Blends club, there needed to be LOTS of colouring, so we also stamped and coloured the inside panels...

I can't wait for summer vacation when I'll have more time to play with this set...so many possibilities!

Have a great weekend...see you Monday with more new catty samples :)
