I Love You {Friday} A Bushel and a Peck!

T.G.I.F!!! I have never been happier to see the end of the week. This week at school has been torturous with the oppressive heat and humidity we've been experiencing. So I am REALLY loving Friday right now. How much, you ask? Well...

How cute is that little scarecrow from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set? I know I've featured him before, but come on, he is ADORBS! I wanted him to have all the attention on this card, so I kept the design simple. I began by stamping the Hardwood background on a piece of Sahara Sand card stock using Whisper White craft ink. I love the white-washed wood look of it. The circle elements is die-cut from Petals and Paisleys DSP using the Layering Circles Framelits. The little scarecrow is stamped in Basic Black ink on Sahara Sand card stock and then coloured using Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Island Indigo, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers.

I punched the coloured scarecrow out with the coordination Cookie Cutter punch. I added a 1/4" strip of Early Espresso card stock for my scarecrow to perch on and then adhered it to the card using dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set. I love how forgiving that set is...I didnt' even have to stamp the letters straight or worry about spacing them exactly! I fussy cut each word with my paper snips and adhered them to the card. By way of embellishment, I used some 5/8" Burlap Ribbon, a bit of linen thread and some Brights Sequins.

On the inside, I added a Very Vanilla card stock panel on which I stamped another little scarecrow in Early Espresso ink. So stinkin' cute!!

Before I go, I wanted to remind you all that new Special Offers started yesterday. Check out these deals...

Have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!

Scary Cute!

Happy Labour Day! I hope you are enjoying the long weekend...the weather here has been absolutely perfect.
So? Are you loving the Holiday Catalogue, or what? In case you need more convincing, check out this sweet Halloween card I made using the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set:

Aren't those little fellas the cutest? I stamped them on watercolour paper using Basic Black Archical ink and then coloured them using my ink pads and blender pens. I punched them out using the Cookie Cutter Builder punch...easy-peasy! This is an easel card. I started with an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic Black card stock and then scored it at 2-1/8" and 4-1/4". Easiest easel card ever! The layer on the top half of the background is a 2" x 5-3/8" piece of Cajun Craze card stock which I stamped with the bat image from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set using Basic Black ink. The bottom half is a piece of Petals and Paisleys DSP and is cut to the same size. When I adhered my punched figures, I only adhered them to the bottom DSP panel because....

...they need to stand up! Aren't they adorable? The sentiment strip along the bottom is stamped with an image from the Suite Seasons stamp set in Basic Black ink. I matted it with some silver glimmer paper behind it for some sparkle.

On the inside layer I added a piece of Very Vanilla card stock on which I stamped another of the senitments from the Suite Seasons set and added a little crow from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set. To prop open my easel, I added two fussy-cut bats from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set that I popped up with trimmed dimensionals. So much fun!

Have a magnificent Monday!

Today I have a cute card to welcome the new catalogue and the new season...

Isn't that little scarecrow the cutest?? He is from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set, which coordinates with the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and punch bundle. Talk about versatility and product coordination! Stampin' Up! is THE BEST when it comes to that! Here, I stamped the image in Basic Black Archival ink on Very Vanilla card stock. Then I coloured the image using Old Olive, Island Indigo, Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon and Rich Razzleberry markers. I used the Cookie Cutter Builder punch to punch it out.

I mounted my scarecrow on a post cut from Early Espresso card stock and added a little copper metallic thread behind him.

The background behind the focal image is a 3" x 4" piece of Kraft card stock that I embossed using the Petal Burst TIEF and matted on a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Cajun Craze card stock. The card base is Delightful Dijon. I stamped it all over using the leaves from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set and Delightful Dijon ink. The die-cut sentiment is cut from Cajun Craze card stock using the Hello You Thinlits. The stamped sentiment is from the Project Life Date It stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink.

On the inside I added a piece of Very Vanilla card stock on which I stamped more leaves blowing across the bottom edge.

I'll be offering this card at an upcoming class this fall, but why wait till then? The Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle is fabulous and the Cookie Cutter Halloween is the perfect compliment to make these products ones you'll use all year.

Have a thrilling Thursday!
