Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a good week. Just a couple more days left in 2020, and if you're like me, you will be MORE than happy to say goodbye to this crazy year. I am continuing my countdown to Sale-a-bration today with projects that featuring the Approaching Perfection stamp set...

This set is SO much fun...with cheeky sentiments and images to make birthday cards for almost anyone. Check out this pretty birthday card I made using this set and the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper...

I love the bold font of this Happy Birthday sentiment. I works perfectly on just about any card design. Here I stamped it in Night of Navy ink and die-cut  Whisper White and Blushing Bride labels using the Tasteful Labels dies. I embossed the Blushing Bride label using the Greenery Embossing folders...I love the subtle hint of texture it adds behind the sentiment. The flowers were punched from the Paper Blooms DSP using the Small Bloom punch and the new Strawberry Builder punch from the upcoming January-June Mini. The leaves were also punched using the Strawberry Builder punch...I can see myself using that punch A LOT...and for much more than just strawberries! Here is a closer look...

I love the added texture of the wooden leaves from the In Good Taste Elements...I brushed them with some Frost White Shimmer paint so the sparkle and shine.

On the inside of the card I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another sentiment from the Approaching Perfection set, as well as some more punched flowers. I used some silver metallic pearls for the centres on all of my flowers.

New Freebies and Timeless Tulips

Happy Tuesday! Did you miss me yesterday? We were busy getting sorted out around work and our new COVID19 normal around here, so I didn't get a chance to post. I hope you'll forgive me. Things certainly have changed an awful lot in a very short time around here. I hope that you are healthy and doing everything you can to stay home and safe.

There is some GOOD NEWS today...new Sale-a-bration freebies were just announced! There is only one week left in Sale-a-bration and Stampin' Up! has released several items from the Annual Catalogue to be earned as Sale-a-bration freebies! Check out the graphic below:

That Butterfly Duet Punch is an AWESOME one that I use a ton...if you don't already have one you will definitely want to take advantage of this offer! I'm also super excited to see one of my favourite Designer Series Papers included...Woven Threads! I'll definitely be scooping some of that up too!

Now, on to this week's featured product. With spring in the air (and on the calendar!) I thought I'd focus on my very favourite spring flowers and feature the Timeless Tulips bundle.

Timeless Tulips Bundle (Item #153793)

Now, today's project only uses the stamp set, but I will be demonstrating two additional projects in today's Live @ Five video that use the punch as well.

Check out this pretty, spring-y card...

I started with a Whisper White background panel embossed using the Basket Weave embossing folder. I added some Pacific Point gingham DSP from the Brights 6" x 6" pack as well as a cut little stitched scalloped border on the diagonal. (I honestly can't remember the last time I used Pacific Point on ANYTHING...and I have no idea why!)

I created the base for my wreath using the swirly label die from the Painted Labels dies, cutting one is Granny Apple Green and one in Whisper White. The sentiment, from the Timeless Tulips stamp set,  is stamped in Pacific Point ink.

To add the spray of tulips, I stamped the smallest tulip from the Timeless Tulips stamp set in Melon Mambo ink on Flirty Flamingo card stock. I fussy-cut out the tulips and added a hint of Wink of Stella. I stamped some leaves on Granny Apple Green ink on card stock of the same shade and fussy-cut them as well. Then I added some die-cut sprigs from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set and punched Daffodil Delight sprigs.  I finished it off with a cute little Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon bow.

On the inside I  added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped more tulips and leaves in Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green respectively. The sentiment is from the SAB Tags in Bloom stamp set.

Here's a link to my video in which I demonstrate this card and two others using the Timeless Tulips bundle...

Thanks for stopping by today. Be well and stay safe in these crazy times!

Always and Forever Blossoms

I don't think there is anything that says spring quite like cherry blossoms. Seeing trees loaded with beautiful blossoms is one of my very favourite things about the spring season. Maybe it's because they only last a few days here in Ontario, but for me, they are a true sign that spring has indeed sprung!
While we are still a few months away from cherry blossoms here in Cambridge, I had them springing up all over my studio this weekend. I spent some quality time with the Forever Blossoms bundle as I worked on projects for my newest online class and I just couldn't get enough of the beautiful images. Here is the bundle artwork...

The hand-drawn artwork is so soft and pretty and looks amazing stamped in simple neutral tones or coloured. Check out this pretty wedding card...

Here I featured some of the beautiful Parisian Blossoms Designer Paper as the backdrop for my blossoms. I opted to colour the stamped image with Pool Party and Soft Seafoam Stampin' Blends as was pleasantly surprised to find the image, stamped in Smoky Slate ink, didn't bleed or fade. I love that I now have a softer option for stamping my images to be coloured with Blends!

I used the Label Me Lovely and Label Me Fancy punches to cut out my layered sentiment labels, stamping on the same DSP I used for the background panel in Smoky Slate ink. I added some Petal Pink metallic ribbon and a few Champagne Rhinestones for some sparkle.

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set as well as another cherry blossom branch, leaving it uncoloured. I love how beautiful it is just like that!

I will be featuring this card and two others in tomorrow's Live @ Five video over on my Facebook page at 5 pm ET. I will also be launching my new online class, so you'll definitely want to check it out! If you miss the live broadcast, you can catch the replay on my YouTube channel later in the week or on the Video Tutorials link in the right sidebar of this page.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a fabulous week!
