Blooms for You

Happy Saturday...are you surprised to hear from me? I don't usually post on Saturdays, but since I've got an extra-long weekend, I thought I would show you this pretty card I designed for my upcoming Birthday Bouquet Suite class next week.

Mother's Day card featuring products from the Birthday Bouquet Suite.
This class is all about soft and pretty flowers. I love the images in the Birthday Blooms stamp set and wanted to highlight a few of them on this project. I began with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Mint Macaron card base on which I stamped the large flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set in Mint Macaron ink. I added a strip of Birthday Bouquet DSP in the pink striped pattern. The label is die-cut using the Lots of Labels Framelits from another pattern in the Birthday Bouquet pack. I added some gold metallic thread before adhering it to my card.

The flower is heat embossed in gold on Whisper White card stock. I coloured it using an Aqua Painter filled with rubbing alcohol and my Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron ink pads. I then fussy-cut the flower with my paper snips. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold on Whisper White card stock and punched using the 1-3/4" circle punch. I layered it on an off-set gold metallic foil doily. Both the flower and the sentiment are adhered to the card using dimensionals. The final touch was some Blushing Bride enamel accents from the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit...they have such subtle sparkle to them!

Inside view with sentiment from the Greatest Greetings stamp set.
On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I heat embossed in gold the sentiment from the Greatest Greetings stamp set and the flower image from the front of the card.

I love the softness of this project...I hope my class participants will too!  Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a new colour challenge from Sunday Stamps! Have a happy Saturday!

Love at First Sigh

Happy Hump Day...downhill to the weekend and March Break for me...wahoo!!

Today I have another one of the Make-n-Takes we did at my team meeting this week. It uses the Pedal Pusher Sale-a-bration stamp set...

Wedding/anniversary card featuring the Pedal Pusher stamp set with sentiment from the Greatest Greetings set.
I began with a piece of Basic Gray card stock on which I heat embossed the bike and basket images from the Pedal Pusher stamp set in white. I added the tin cans to the back fender, which are from the Beautiful Ride stamp set. The pink banner is cut from some Have a Cuppa DSP and the glittery one is a piece of Metallics Glitter Tape, which is also a Sale-a-bration freebie. I matted the front panel with a piece of Melon Mambo card stock...there's just something about that pink and gray...love it!

I added some twine from the Baker's Twine Combo Pack as well as some little confetti hearts, punched from Melon Mambo card stock using the Confetti Hearts Border punch. The sentiment is from the Greatest Greetings set and is stamped in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White card stock. The card is built on a Basic Gray card base.

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped the bike in Basic Gray and the hearts, also from the Pedal Pusher stamp set, in Melon Mambo. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Ride set and is also stamped in Basic Gray ink. I added one more little bitty confetti heart.

I love it when I can combine two or more stamp sets on one project. What are some of your favourite sets to combine? I'd love to hear your ideas!

Bright Birthday Balloons

To me, nothing says "celebration" like a balloon bouquet. Where there are balloons, there is bound to be a party! Today's card makes me happy...

Birthday card featuring the Balloon Bouquet punch, Crazy About You stamp set and Hello You Thinlits.
Now, who wouldn't love to receive this card on their birthday? I drew my colour palette from the Cherry On Top DSP stack from the Annual Catalogue. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the new products from the seasonal catalogues, I forget all about the AWESOME goodies in the Annual Catty. No more! I love the bright colours: Crushed Curry, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay and crisp Whisper White. I began with a piece of DSP and stamped the balloon strings in Basic Black ink. Then I went to work with my Balloon Bouquet punch and punched several balloons from card stock and DSP to complete my bouquet.

I layered the front panel on a piece of Watermelon Wonder card stock and then mounted it on a panel ow Whisper White card stock that I had embossed using the Confetti TIEF. The card is built on a Bermuda Bay card base.
The sentiment, from the Crazy About You stamp set, is stamped in Basic Black ink. The die-cut sentiment is done in silver glimmer paper using the Hello You Thinlits. The only embellishment I added was a little bow made with Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon...love that stuff! Here's hoping we see it in more colours in the next Annual Catalogue!

On the inside I embossed the bottom edge of a piece of Whisper White card stock using the Confetti TIEF again. I stamped the sentiment from the Greatest Greetings set in Basic Black. I think it is perfect because this card just makes me smile!
I hope your week has been filled with smiles so far! Have a great day!!
