Ahhh...finally...summer is here! The school year is over and I am officially on vacation! The best thing about summer is that I can put my full energy into my Stampin' Up! business without the worries of my day job spoiling my fun!
I am kicking off summer playing with one of my favourite suites from the Annual Catalogue: Masterfully Made. I love everything about this suite, but the thing that grabbed my attention from the get-go was the fabulous Designer Paper. I have had so much fun playing with it and the coordinating stamps and dies this week! Check out some of my creations below:
The last three projects are ones that I demonstrated in this week's Facebook Live. You can catch the replay on my YouTube channel or by clicking the link below. All of the measurements for each project are included in the video description.
Thanks so much for stopping in this week...enjoy the summer sunshine!
Well hello there! It's been a minute, hasn't it?! How are you??
For nearly a year I have been struggling with how to effectively manage this blog along with my other social media channels. I considered archiving it, as I just don't seem to have the time to manage it all. But this little corner of cyberspace has been an important one in the growth of my business over the years and it seemed like a shame to let it go after nearly 13 years. So, I am going to attempt to do a week-in-review every Sunday that includes all of the samples I shared in my weekly Facebook Live, along with link to the replay on my YouTube channel. This way, I'll be able to keep fresh content coming here for those who prefer to follow a blog rather than other social media platforms, without needing extra samples to share. So...here we go...
This week's product focus was the Share A Milkshake bundle from the January-April Mini Catalogue...
This bundle is SO MUCH FUN to play with...and was JUST what I needed to put me in a summer frame-of-mind during a miserable winter weather week here in Ontario. Check out these sweet projects...
Now, if those don't make you think of frosty summer treats, I don't know what will! I demonstrated all three of these cute cards in my Facebook Live this week. The video description includes all of the measurements and colours used for each card, so it is a one-stop inspiration stop. You can catch the replay on my YouTube channel below:
If you're still checking in after so much inconsistency on my part, THANK YOU! I do SO appreciate your loyalty! Here's hoping I can reward it with these weekly posts!
Happy Christmas in July week! Although I am no where near ready to think about Christmas (or even the first day of school) yet, each summer I like to take a week and celebrate Christmas in July in honour of the launch of the July-December Mini Catalogue. So, last Saturday I held my annual Christmas in July Virtual Stamp Camp featuring the beautiful Boughs of Holly Suite. I've been sharing some of the projects we made over on my Instagram and Facebook accounts and I featured three fun projects in this week's Facebook Live. One of the projects I demonstrated was this fabulous Arrow Fold card...
Now, I'll admit, the first time I ever saw this fun fold I thought it was WAY too involved for me to try. But then I saw so many beautiful designs with it I decided to give it a go. That was a couple of years ago and I have been hooked ever since. It really isn't nearly as hard as it looks! And it is SO worth the effort.
On this design I really wanted to highlight the gorgeous Boughs of Holly Designer Paper. It truly does ALL of the work on this card. The poinsettia images are all fussy-cut from the DSP. The only thing I stamped is the sentiment label!
I used the Handmade Wishes bundle to stamp and punch my label. It is a bit of a hidden gem in the mini catalogue, but is fantastic! I love the shape of this label and all of the various sentiments and images included in the stamp set make it super-versatile. I'll definitely be using this one A LOT this season!
As I mentioned above, I demonstrated this card in this week's Facebook live video. The replay is posted below and all of the measurements are included in the video description:
Enjoy trying this fun fold...it really isn't too hard!
Happy Tuesday! Can you believe the first day of spring is just FIVE days away! Hallelujah!! I am SO over cold and snow...bring on April showers and May flowers. This month, our Stamping Symphony blog hop is all about spring. Check out this easy fun fold I made using the Flowering Rain Boots bundle...
I've done variations on this fun fold in the past, but I am SO loving the bright, cheerful colour palette on this one! I used Granny Apple Green, Polished Pink and Bumblebee. Now if that doesn't say spring, I don't know what does! The DSP comes from the colour family 6" x 6" packs...I'm desperately afraid they are going to retire and I have A TON of it left! Expect to see lots of these patterns from me in the weeks to come ;)
I stamped the rain boot image on a piece of New Horizons DSP...it is the pattern with the pink water color wash...and I love the added texture it gives the stamped image. The tulips are stamped in Bumblebee ink and the leaves and stems are Granny Apple Green.
This fold is great because it still stands on a desk and is a bit of a twist on a standard tent-fold card.
The front flap opens to reveal another panel with a greeting and space to write a short message. I also added some more tulips, but those could be omitted for more space to write. Another option, if you have a longer message, is to write on the back side of the card base.
I'll be demonstrating this card and two others with the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle in today's Facebook Live @ Five over on my Facebook business page. All of the measurements will be posted in the video description for easy, one-stop crafting. If you are unable to join me live you can catch the replay over on my YouTube channel shortly afterwards, where I will also post the measurements for you.
Now it's time to hop on over to Sandy's blog to see what gorgeousness she has in store...
