Counting My Blessings

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We spent it with family, as my parents were down for a family photo shoot we had planned for their 50th anniversary gift. They actually celebrated the 51st (!) this summer...it has taken this long to find a date that worked for everyone where the weather was half decent. We've had three failed attempts before this one! Thankfully, we finally pulled it off and I can't wait to see the proofs.

Today I have another fall-themed project for you. This one uses the Count My Blessings stamp set from the new Holiday Catalogue...

This stamp set is simply beautiful, but it is easy to miss amid all of the fabulous new holiday products. Here I heat embossed in copper the vine image several times on a piece of Painted Autumn DSP. I love the way the copper works with the warm autumn tones in the paper.

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink on a label I cut with the Lots of Labels framelits from Wood Textures DSP. I added a Foil Snowflake behind the label, flipping it over so the vanilla side was showing. I added some litle die-cut sprigs in Very Vanilla and copper foil cut with the Christmas Staircase and Pretty Pines thinlits respectively.

I added some Burlap Ribbon, tied with Linen Thread as well as some copper metallic thread behind the label. This card truly does shine!

On the inside I added some more heat embossed copper vines along the bottom edge, leaving lots of space for expressing my gratitude.

Have a marvelous week!

    1. Thank you Marlena. I am so thankful that we were able to finally get these photos taken. My dad had a health scare earlier this summer and I was so afraid that we would never get the photos done. Thankfully he is doing much better and we will have some special memories to treasure for ever.

    1. Thank you Susan...I love this DSP pack and the copper just looked gorgeous when embossed over it. I sometimes forget that it is ok to stamp on pretty patterned paper!
