Thanks a Bunch

Happy Tuesday! I hope you're having a good week! Today I have one of the projects that got a ton of attention at my catalogue launch event last Friday. It features products from the new Wood Textures Suite...

I'm not sure what it is about copper and wood textures I love so much, but the combination just makes me happy! Here I used two different patterns from the Wood Textures DSP stack. I am loving the weathered paint look. I stamped the floral collage image from the Wood Words stamp set in Versamark ink and heat embossed it using copper embossing powder right on the DSP. I then used Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz and Powder Pink markers to colour the images in.

The sentiment, which is also from the Wood Words stamp set, is also heat embossed in copper, punched with the 1-1/4" circle punch and then layered on a 1-3/8" circle punched from copper foil. I added some 1/4" copper trim...soooo in love with that stuff... for added texture.

On the inside I added a Whisper White card stock panel and once again heat embossed and coloured the floral collage image.

This card is such a wow, yet so easy to pull together, thanks to the coordinating products in the Wood Textures Suite. One of my favourite things about Stampin' Up!, in fact, what drew me to their products initially, is the way everything coordinates. The new catalogue continues their trademark coordination while offering fantastic new products. Daisy Congrats for SS

Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! Today marks the start of a new sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps...

Here is my take on it using several products from the new Annual Catalogue:

Don't you just love Gerbera Daisies?? I have been wanting to create one since I first laid my hands on the new Daisy Punch, so when I saw the circular element on this week's sketch I knew exactly what I was going to do.
I began with a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock that I embossed using the Petal Burst TIEF. I added a strip of Fresh Florals DSP along the bottom edge, rounding the top corners of both the card stock and the DSP. To create my daisy I stamped three daisies from the Daisy Delight stamp set on Melon Mambo card stock using ink of the same shade and then punched them out using the Daisy punch. I curled the petals slightly with my bone folder before layering the punched daisies, off-setting each layer from the previous one. For the centre I stamped one of the circular images from the stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist on card stock of the same colour and punched it out using the 1/2" circle punch. I adhered the daisy to the cardfront using dimensionals so as to allow those petals to curl under.

The sentiment on the front of the card is from the Colourful Seasons stamp set and is stamped in Basic Black ink and punched with the Classic Label punch. The only embellishments are some Basic Black solid baker's twine and a few of the new Glitter Enamel Dots.

On the inside of the card I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another sentiment from the Colourful Seasons stamp set as well as another Melon Mambo daisy.

So, are you ready for a project? Check out this beauty I made using my very favourite suite in the new catalogue: Colourful Theory...

Ooohhh...there is SOOO much to love in this bundle!! I used some of the Colour Theory DSP for the background...love that ombre look and so much quicker and easier to achieve it than with a brayer and ink! The die-cut branch and blossoms were done using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. The branch is cut from Crumb Cake card stock and the blossoms from Whisper White card stock that I lightly sponged with Berry Burst ink. The image is from the Colourful Seasons stamp set and is stamped in Berry Burst ink. I added some Finely Woven Ribbon in Berry Burst as the perfect finisheing touch.

On the inside I stamped a branch and blossoms as well as another sentiment from the Colourful Seasons stamp set. So pretty!
