Sweet Little Christmas

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. Things here were hectic as always, as I held my final two card buffets of the season as well as an open studio for members of my Stamping Symphony family. It is always fun to have my studio full of happy stampers, but it sure does make the weekend fly by!
Today I want to share with you a cute card that I CASE'd from the super-talented Alison Solven. It was on offer at my card buffet this weekend and I will be showing how to create it during this week's Tuesday Live @ Five video.  Check it out...

I absolutely LOVE the Santa's Workshop Specialty DSP because those white candy cane strips are FUZZY! So much fun! I am also loving the combination of Poppy Parade and Garden Green for Christmas this year. The focal image on this card was created using the Candy Cane Season stamp set and coordinating Candy Cane Builder Punch. Lining up the two-step images was a breeze, but would have been even easier with my Stamparatus.

I layered the candy cane image on a die-cut Whisper White circle cut using the Stitched Shapes framelits. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Noel stamp set. The only embellishments are some little rhinestone basic jewels and some Garden Green baker's twine.

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped the holly leaves and then popped up a second candy cane with the fun sentiment in it.

I hope you'll join me tomorrow on my Facebook page for this week's video. I'll be demonstrating this card and two other cute projects that all feature this adorable bundle.  In the meantime, have a great week! Just a month till Christmas!!

Spirited Christmas Greetings

Happy Monday! I sure don't know where that weekend went! It was a busy one and felt like it was about 10 minutes long...anyone else feeling that way this morning??
Today I have a cute card I designed using my Product of the Week, the Spirited Snowmen stamp set. This adorable set is easily missed amidst all of the other fantastic bundles and accessories in the Holiday Catalogue, but it is just too cute not to highlight.

I've had so much fun playing with these guys lately and can't wait to show you what I've come up with in tomorrow's Live @ Five video over on my Facebook page. Here's a little sneak peek of what you can expect...

How cute is he??? I stamped the snowman image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured him with several Stampin' Blends (see the supply list below for the full list). I used the Stitched Shapes framelits to die-cut him out and then layered a scalloped Cherry Cobbler circle behind him. The background DSP is from the Dashing Along DSP pack, which is available to purchase right now while supplies last.

The greeting is from the Alpine Adventure stamp set, is stamped in Tuxedo Black ink and die-cut using the Farmhouse Framelits. I added a bit of 1/4" Stitched Cherry Cobbler ribbon and a few glittery snowflakes die-cut using the Blizzard thinlit die. (If there is just one snowflake die you buy this year THAT should be it!)

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped a sentiment from the Hearts Come Home stamp set and a bit of holly from the Spirited Snowmen set.

Be sure to stop by my Facebook page this week for the full instructions on this card and others featuring this adorable set. Till then, thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

A Rustic Farmhouse Christmas

Happy Thursday and welcome to this special mid-week post. Today is the 15th of the month, which means it is time for another Stamping Symphony blog hop!

This month we are all about Christmas and I have a fun, farmhouse-inspired project to share that uses the Snow is Glistening stamp set...

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by the inimitable Mary Fish. I stamped the tree image from the Snow is Glistening set twice on a piece of Festive Farmhouse DSP using Grey Granite ink. Then I stamped the tree again on Gray Granite card stock and cut it out. I added some Farmhouse Burlap ribbon, a piece of a Boxwood Wreath embellishment behind the tree and popped it up on the front of my card. The sentiment is one of the Festive Farmhouse Elements which, sadly, are sold out for this year. I simply coloured the gray wooden sentiment with my Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends marker. I love the rustic look it has!

The only other touch on this card was a few snowflakes, die cut with the Snowfall Thinlits from Galvanized Metallic paper. This was a super easy and quick card to put together and it was fun to add all the little extra embellishments.

I am absolutely loving the many possibilities with this set. In case you missed it, be sure to check out my Tuesday Live @ Five video below, where I showcase three other projects that feature this awesome stamp set and the coordinating dies.

Be sure to hop on over to the next blog in our hop for more Christmas inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!
