Not only are these little donkeys super-cute, they are also super-fun to colour! I used Grey Granite, Light Smoky Slate and Ivory to colour them. Each image is die-cut using the Stitched Shapes dies and then layered on a1-3/4" square of Blushing Bride card stock. Here's a closer look...

I stamped the sentiment by inking it with Stampin' Write markers in Basic Gray and Bermuda Bay. The label is die-cut using the Stitched Nested Labels dies. For the background on my card I used some of the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper, which is another Sale-a-bration freebie! I added some Whisper White and Blushing Bride Baker's Twine and Resin Hearts from the new Snail Mail suite in the upcoming January-June Mini catalogue by way of embellishment.

I love the bold font of this Happy Birthday sentiment. I works perfectly on just about any card design. Here I stamped it in Night of Navy ink and die-cut  Whisper White and Blushing Bride labels using the Tasteful Labels dies. I embossed the Blushing Bride label using the Greenery Embossing folders...I love the subtle hint of texture it adds behind the sentiment. The flowers were punched from the Paper Blooms DSP using the Small Bloom punch and the new Strawberry Builder punch from the upcoming January-June Mini. The leaves were also punched using the Strawberry Builder punch...I can see myself using that punch A LOT...and for much more than just strawberries! Here is a closer look...

I love the added texture of the wooden leaves from the In Good Taste Elements...I brushed them with some Frost White Shimmer paint so the sparkle and shine.

On the inside of the card I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another sentiment from the Approaching Perfection set, as well as some more punched flowers. I used some silver metallic pearls for the centres on all of my flowers.

Countdown to Saleabration - Corner Bouquet

Happy last Tuesday of 2020! I don't know about you, but this year has felt both painfully long and super quick at the same time. I don't quite know how that is possible! Needless to say, I don't think I'm alone in feeling very ready to close the book on this unreal year. Who would have thought, a year ago, how much our world would change in 2020?!

Besides the excitement of a brand new year, we in the Stampin' Up! world have even MORE excitement to look forward to: the launch of the brand new January-June Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration! I absolutely love this time of year because, just when I am completely bored with my craft stash, a whole new book of amazing products drops AND when I buy them I get even more new products free!

This year I thought it would be fun to countdown to Sale-a-bration with some sneak peeks at the various items available free with a qualifying order starting January 5th, 2021. So, starting today and for the next 7 days I'll be posting projects daily AND doing a daily live demonstration video over on my Facebook Business page. Each day I will featuring different items from the Sale-a-bration brochure, starting with the beautiful Corner Bouquet stamp set set...

Check out this pretty sympathy card I made using this set and some GORGEOUS Designer Paper (also available FREE during Sale-a-bration)...

The beautiful ombre background behind the stamped floral image isn't sponged...it is from the Oh So Ombre DSP pack and is SOOOO yummy! You are going to be seeing a lot of that paper from me in the coming weeks! It makes this card so quick and easy...simply stamp the floral image in black ink on the DSP, and mat with Champagne foil for a quick and easy focal point. Here is a closer look...

I should mention that gorgeous embossed texture on the background panel...it is simple Bermuda Bay card stock embossed using the new Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. It is fast-becoming a new favourite because it is so versatile. The polka dot DSP panel behind the focal image is yet another SAB freebie...a DSP pack called Flower & Field, which has beautiful floral images on one side and awesome geometric patterns on the other. Another super-versatile product...gotta love multi-use products...especially when they're FREE!
The sentiment I used is from another Sale-a-bration freebie called Heal Your Heart. I'll be featuring it on it's own later in my countdown, but it is such beautiful set, I couldn't resist pairing it with the Corner Bouquet set as well.

easy sympathy card

On the inside of the card I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped the floral image again as well as another sentiment from the Heal You Heart set in black ink. I absolutely love this sentiment, as it is one that I often express when those I care able are hurting and is perfectly appropriate for the current state of the world...so many hurting people right now who need our love and encouragement.

I demonstrated this card in the video below:

Measurements:
4-1/4" x 11" Basic Black card stock, scored at 5-1/2"
4" x 5-1/4" Bermuda Bay card stock
3" x 4" Oh So Ombre Designer Paper
 3" x 4" Flower & Field Designer Paper
3-1/8" x 4-1/8" Champagne Foil card stock
1/2" x 4" Whisper White card stock
1 square vellum doily

Thanks for stopping by today...be sure to come back tomorrow for the next post in my Sale-a-bration Countdown series!

Quick and Easy Stitched Triangle Christmas Trees

Happy Tuesday-before-Christmas! I know I have been MIA the past couple of weeks and I do apologize. The demands of teaching in-person and online simultaneously at school have been pretty overwhelming the past while. It has been all I could do to get my lessons planned, posted, work marked and report cards done. Now that the much-needed Christmas break is finally here, I have time to catch my breath and catch up on my Stampin' Up! business. I feel so out of touch with all of you!

Before I get to today's project, I want to remind you that my January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue Designer Paper Share is now open for ordering. For details and ordering information, click the image below. Orders must be placed by January 4th, 2021.

Now on to today's quick and easy project...check out these adorable Christmas trees!

Christmas treat box

These little boxes are SO cute and easy to make. The larger one holds 4 Lindor chocolate truffles...perfect to set at each place for Christmas dinner. I made the smaller one so it doesn't open, but could easily be left unsealed to hold more treats. I decorated my boxes with Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper and some gold foil die-cut stitched stars. The sentiment is from the Tree Angle stamp set, stamped in Real Red ink and trimmed with some Real Red Braided Linen Trim.

I posted a how-to video on my YouTube channel, including the measurements and scoring information. For you convenience, I'll post them here too:

Large box:

2-1/2" x 11-1/2" Pear Pizzazz card stock - with 2-1/2" side at the top, score at 1/4" on both long sides. Then rotate so that 11-1/2" side is at the top and score at: 1/2", 3" and 7-1/4"

You'll also need two of the largest isosceles triangles from the Stitched Triangles dies, cut from Pear Pizzazz card stock. I used the next-largest size die to cut the DSP layers.

My banner piece is 7/8" x 3-1/2".

Small box:

2" x 9-3/8" Pear Pizzazz card stock - with 2" side at the top, score at 1/4" on both long sides.
Then rotate so that the 9-3/8" side is at the top and score at: 1/4", 2-3/8" and 5-7/8"

I used the second-largest isosceles triangle die for this smaller box.

Check out the how-to in this video:

Have a wonderful week and a very merry Christmas!
