A Fabulous Blog Hop and an Anniversary

Happy Friday! I hope you've had a good week. I don't know about you, but I am ready for the weekend!! Today is an extra-special Friday because not only is it time for our monthly Stamping Symphony Blog Hop, but I am also celebrating my 8th Stamp-iversary! Eight years ago I joined Stampin' Up! to save a little money on my crafting hobby...little did I know where this adventure would take me! I am so thankful for the people I have met through Stampin' Up! and for the opportunities I have had to grow and stretch myself beyond anything I ever imagined. Onward and upward to bigger goals, greater accomplishments and new friends.

Speaking of friends, some of the most amazing people I know are part of my Stamping Symphony team and each month some of us participate in a blog hop to share what we love most. This month we are all about NEW products, so I pulled out a ton of new goodies to put my card together.

Can you spot all of the new products on this card? I started by embossing my Powder Pink card stock background with the new Tufted Dynamic TIEF. It is UH-mazing! To make it even MORE amazing, I added a touch of Wink of Stella to each tuft...it sparkles juuuust enough. I used some Garden Impressions DSP to create my drapery fold, scoring the DSP alternating at 1" and 1/2" intervals. I love this look and it is a great way to showcase all that pretty paper in the catalogue.
I accented the pretty folded paper with a Melon Mambo card stock strip that I also embossed, this time with the Subtle TIEF...love the hint of texture it adds! I added the white laser-cut edging from the Delightfully Detailed Specialty DSP pack. It reminds me a bit of a string of pearls.

The label is die-cut from Whisper White card stock using the new Stitched Labels Framelits. I stamped the sentiment from the Stitched All Around stamp set in Melon Mambo ink and added a Petal Pink Rhinestone Gem for a touch of glam. LOVE it!

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Stitched All Around set in Melon Mambo and the vine image from the same set in Powder Pink.  I think the thing I love most about this card is that it would work for just about any occasion. Gotta love having a few all-occasion cards in your stash!

Now, be sure to check out the other FABULOUS projects by my talented team!

    1. I took a 6" x 6" square of DSP and marked it at 2" on one side and 4" on the opposite side. I then cut on the diagonal from the 2" to the 4" mark, creating two same-sized angled pieces. This allows me to get two drapery folds from one 6" x 6" piece of DSP. Hope this helps :)
