Want some more exciting news? Stampn' Up has just announced the release of a new line of blendable alcohol markers! Many of you may remember the previous line called Blendabilities. These markers were FABULOUS but, due to manufacturing issues, the line had to be prematurely discontinued. Since then, Stampin' Up! has been hard at work in search of a new manufacturer who could ensure the level of quality that  would live up to  the company's reputation. After several years, I am thrilled to announce that today marks the start of the demonstrator pre-order for Stampin' Blends, our new line of alcohol markers! This is a limited offering for demonstrators only to purchase and experiment with this new product line. Stampin' Up! will monitor and analyse the buying patterns of demonstrators to forecast how much product they will need to ensure a sufficient supply to meet the demand when the product line launches for customers. We don't yet have a customer launch date.

Now for today's project! I designed this one for my recent Christmas card buffet...

Can you guess which paper pack the background came from? (Hint: It's one that is part of the B3G1 DSP promo!). It's Naturally Eclectic! It makes a perfect snowy backdrop for this wintry scene. I used a 3-1/2" x 5" piece of DSP and layered it over a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock which I embossed using the Softly Falling TIEF. I love the perspective it give my scene. The trees are die-cut from silver foil and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper using the Card Front Builder Thinlits.

I stamped the deer from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in Night of Navy ink and die-cut it also using the Card Front Builder Thinlits. The sentiment label is from the Merry Little Labels stamp set and is punched using the Everyday Label punch. The only embellishment is a bit of silver metallic thread behind the label.

On the inside, I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped the sentiment and snowflakes from the Peace This Christmas stamp set in Night of Navy ink.

Thanks for sticking with me through this rather long post...have a super Sunday!

Carols of Christmas Hop

Happy Friday!! The weekend is here...wahoo!! I am back from my week by the lake and what an amazingly restful few days it was. I read six novels in four days, so you can likely imagine just how I spent my days. This annual trip is the only time in the year when I truly relax and I love it. Now to try and get it back into gear and prepare for school to start in a couple of weeks!

Today marks another Tri-City Stampers Blog Hop. We are a couple of days late this month due to my trip and being completely off the grid while I was away. I am excited that we have a new member of my team joining us this month for the first time! Our theme this month is the Carols of Christmas bundle, which is a pre-release item from the upcoming Holiday Catalouge.

I was playing around with ideas using the woodpile pattern from the Wood Textures DSP stack and tried layering it with vellum. I love the result! I heat embossed the greeting in copper and then die-cut the frame from copper foil using the Layering Squares framelits. I chose to adhere it off-kilter and kind of like the look. It's almost like the embellishments are weighing it down. I adhered the background to a Kraft card stock base.

Speaking of embellishments, I went a wee bit craaazy here! I used some die-cut pine branches, cut from Garden Green card stock using the Pretty Pines thinlits. Over thos I added the copper berries, which were also die-cut using the same thinlit set. I added one of the large stars from the Hearts and Stars wooden elements and then added some 1/4" copper trim that I stretched out and then gathered with some Linen Thread. The final touch was a few copper sequins from the Metallics Assortment.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set in Early Espresso ink and added a 3/4" strip of the same pattern DSP.

Now be sure to check out the rest of my amazing stamping friends' creations. You can find them all below:

Have a fantabulous weekend!

Square Wishes for Sunday Stamps

Happy Sunday! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I am having a blast hanging with my Bestie this weekend...it is soooo good to spend quality time with a dear friend!

Today marks the start of a new sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps...and we're going square!

Now, I have to admit, I can't remember the last time I made a square card...but here is my project:

I just can't seem to stop playing with the new Carols of Christmas bundle! It will be available to order this week on Tuesday...so exciting! Here I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Wood Textures DSP and then die-cut it with the Layering Squares framelits. I layered it on a slightly larger Early Espresso card stock square and a scalloped copper foil square. The Very Vanilla background panel is embossed using the Woodland TIEF.

For the horizontal element in the sketch I used some burlap ribbon and layered some 1/4" copper trim on top. The little banner elements became pine boughs and I added a little copper trim bow. I also couldn't resist adding a little, long-retired, wooden snowflake which I brushed generously with Wink of Stella.

On the inside I added a Very Vanilla panel, some die-cut Garden Green trees and an Early Espresso deer, both of which were cut using the Card Front Builder Thinlits. I skipped a sentiment on the inside because the smaller 4-1/4" square size didn't really leave much for one.

You are definitely going to want to order this fabulous bundle during the month of August...and don't forget to redeem your Bonus Days coupons! In the meantime, be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's awesome projects and then have a go yourself. We'd love to see what you create!
