Curvy Celebrations for Christmas

Happy Tuesday...and happy November! A new month means a new release of sneak peek products from the upcoming January-June Mini Catalogue! Curvy Celebrations offers several coodinating products, some of which are exclusive to this sneak peek promotion. The is the Quite Curvy Bundle with all-occasion stamps and coordinating dies. For the holidays, there is the coordinating Curvy Christmas stamp set and Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper. This week I'm focusing on the Christmas-themed products...stay tuned for more with the Quite Curvy bundle in the coming weeks.

Check out the details of these awesome new products by clicking the image below:

Here is a fun gift card holder I made using these new products:

diy christmas gift card holder

I began with a 5-1/2" x 11" piece of Shaded Spruce card stock and scored it at 3" and 7". Then, I adhered a 3" x 5-1/2" piece of Shaded Spruce DSP to the 3" section on the scored card stock. I die cut both layers together using the Curvy Dies...keep in mind you will likely need to run it through a few times to get it to cut through because you are cutting two layers.

For the belly band, I wrapped a 1-1/4" x 11" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock around my project and adhered it. Then I added some Wonder of the Season ribbon...I LOVE the sheen and texture of that gorgeous ribbon! I created a rosette with two 1" x 6" strips of Classic Christmas DSP. Then I layered a die-cut brass foil medallion and a stamped and punched sentiment from the Curvy Christmas stamp set.

On the next panel, I adhered a 3" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock and die-cut a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Cherry Cobbler DSP to layer below it. I added stamped images from the Curvy Christmas stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink.

On the inside, I used the other half of the die-cut Cherry Cobbler DSP to create a pocket for my gift card...so easy! I also added a 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock on which I stamped more images and a sentiment from the Curvy Christmas stamp set in Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce ink.

Here is the link to my video demonstrating this project. Included in the video description on my YouTube channel are all of the measurements...

Everything is Rosy

Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was as beautiful as ours was! Saturday was a bit on the cloudy side, but Sunday was a stunner! Gorgeous sunshine and mild temperatures. The leaves are FINALLY bursting their buds...we should have green trees by the end of the week. Spring has finally come to Southern Ontario!

Spring was also blooming in my studio this weekend as my order of the Everything is Rosy Product Medley arrived on Friday afternoon. I spent some quality time playing with this stunning kit and I am soooo in love! So much so, that I am changing my originally planned featured product for this week and replacing it with the Everything is Rosy kit. I just had too many ideas not to! I'll be showcasing the kit in this week's Tuesday Live @ Five video and I also have a face-to-face class planned for this Friday evening. I thought I would share one of the projects from that class with you today...

Have I mentioned I LOVE this kit?? The colour combination of Night of Navy, Melon Mambo and Rose Gold is uh-MAZING! Here, I used the soon-to-be-retired Climbing Vine embossing folder to add texture to the Night of Navy background panel and then layered on some of the rose gold-accented DSP. I added a subtle border of rose gold foil using the beautiful border die...you can see it peek out from behind the ribbon. And can we talk about that ribbon??? Navy satin with rose gold metallic edging...yummo!!

The sentiment is from the Everything is Rosy stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy ink on a die-cut Whisper White stitched circle. I added a Melon Mambo scalloped circle mat behind it to make it pop against the navy background. I stamped and die-cut several images to create my little cluster of florals. I couldn't resist adding a little Wink of Stella to the petals of the large pink flower.

I also added some of the uber-cool rose gold mirrored embellishments...these things are such a neat accent...I would LOVE to see them added to our regular embellishment line-up!

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another sentiment from the Everything is Rosy stamp set in Night of Navy ink and them some more florals using Melon Mambo and Night of Navy inks.
If you haven't yet picked up your Everything is Rosy Product Medley yet, you need to do it soon! These gorgeous products WILL sell out. They are available during the month of May and only while supplies last. You won't be able to purchase any of these items outside of this promotion and they won't appear in the new Annual Catalogue. If you still need more convincing, check out this live video I did as I unboxed my kit on Friday...

If you still are on the fence, or even if you want more project ideas, be sure to tune in to tomorrow's Live @ Five video over on my Facebook page. This card is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the possibilities with this kit! Be sure to follow me on Instagram (@lgirsa) for more project ideas all week long.

Before I go, I am excited to announce that my 2019/20 Annual Catalogue Designer Series Paper Share is now open! You can get a little of just a few of the fabulous DSP offerings in the new catalogue, or get it all! All of the details can be found on the order form by clicking the image below.

Merry Season for Sunday Stamps

Happy Sunday! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I know I've been MIA in blogland the past week...and I do apologize to my faithful followers. I'm currently in Niagara Falls holding my Fall Fling Stamp 'n' Scrap Retreat. The days leading up to this event as well as this weekend have been a little bit crazy! I'm looking forward to some downtime and getting back to my regular schedule.

That said, the retreat has been a BLAST so far! I am having so much fun stamping and sharing with my friends...what a great weekend away it has been!

Today marks the start of a new sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps. Check it out...

Here is my card for the challenge, using the Merry Patterns stamp set...

I began with a piece of Real Red card stock which I embossed using the Holly TIEF. I added a strip of Merry Little Christmas DSP, a gold glimmer banner and some Real Red, Basic Black and gold baker's twine and then adhered it to a Basic Black card stock base.

The sentiment is stamped first in Basic Black and then the letters are filled in with Real Red. I offset the letters slightly for a 3-D effect. I added some pine branches along the bottom edge in Old Olive ink and layered the stamped panel on a slightly-larger piece of Basic Black. I added a few black rhinestones to the flourish and voila...quick and easy Christmas card!

On the insde I added a Whisper White card stock panel on which I stamped the sentiment is Real Red and more pine boughs in Old Olive.

This sketch is fabulous...so many more ideas swimming around in my head...I just need more hours in the day to bring them to life. Give this one a try and be sure to share with us at Sunday Stamps.

Have a fabulous Sunday!

Thoughtful Thanks

Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend. Mine has been awesome...I spent yesterday in a room full of other demonstrators at the Holiday Head Start Demonstrator Training event. It was a jam-packed day of stamping and business training and, to be honest I am pooped! Ready for a nice quiet Sunday at home.

Today marks the start of a new colour challenge over at Sunday Stamps. Check it out:

I couldn't resist pulling out the new Thoughtful Branches bundle for this project...

Isn't that die-cut tree fantastic? I can't wait to play with it more. I pulled the warm shades from the challenge to create my sunset background, using Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Watermelon Wonder inks. I masked off the sun and the bottom portion of the card to ground my tree.

The shadow under the tree is from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and is stamped in Smoky Slate ink. The sentiment, which is from the same fabulous set, is stamped in Basic Gray. I matted my front panel on a piece of Watermelon Wonder card stock and then adhered it to the Basic Gray card base.

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another of the sentiments from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set.

So, are you wondering how you can get your hands on this awesome bundle? You'll have to wait just a couple more weeks until it becomes available on August 2nd. In the meantime, you can expect to see more posts from me using it. Don't forget that during the Bonus Days promotion this month you can earn coupons with every $60 you spend which you can then redeem toward items in August...including the Thoughtful Branches bundle!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's samples and then give this challenge a try. LOTS of choose from this time! Have a great day...thanks for stopping by.
