Flower Patch Friday

Well, if you haven't guessed by now, I am in love with the new Flower Patch stamp set.  There are just so many possibilities with it!  Here is another project I put together:

Thank you card featuring the Flower Patch stamp set and Flower Fair Framelits.
For this one I used Versamark to stamp some of the images on a piece of Gold Soiree DSP and then heat embossed them in white.  I love how quick and easy it is to add interest to a simple-patterned piece of paper.  I stamped and die-cut the flower embellishment using Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral ink and did the same with the leaf in Garden Green.

I used a bit of Calypso Coral baker's twine by way of embellishment, and added a candy dot in Garden Green to the centre of the flower.  The little scallops behind the sentiment strip are punched from Garden Green card stock using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch.

On the inside I stamped the larger flower several times in Crips Cantaloupe and the darker centre in Calypso Coral.  I added a touch of green by stamping the leaves in Garden Green.

Have a fabulous weekend...hope you get to stamp something!

Now on to some stamping...
For my team meeting last week I decided to switch it up a little and instead of doing a card as our make-and-take, we altered the little Kraft Grid Journals from the new Annual catalogue.  I thought it would be something my gals could use to take notes at meetings and jot thoughts and questions throughout the month in between meetings.  Here is the journal we made:

Pocket Journal featuring the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and Dictionary background stamp.
This one was fun to make because it involved a whole lot of layering of images.  I started by stamping the Dictionary background on the front of the journal using Sahara Sand ink.  Next I stamped the sunburst image from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in Hello Honey.  I then stamped the leaves several times in Mellow Moss, some full strength, some stamped off once.  I also stamped the leaves on a label I die cut with the Apothecary Accents framelits from the new Typeset specialty paper.  I stamped the dots in metallic gold, both full strength and stamped off.

The doily is heat embossed in gold and then trimmed to fit behind the label.  The little flower embellishment is made with Simply Pressed clay and is heat embossed in gold.  I added a little bit of stitched satin ribbon in Blackberry Bliss and some linen thread.  The butterflies are stamped in Blackberry Bliss, with the smaller one being stamped off, and then punched with the Elegant and Bitty Butterfly punches.  I added a couple of sequins for the body of the butterfly.  I love this look and it was fun to create it on something other than a card.  I will enjoy carrying this little journal in my purse...I hope my team members will too!

Embossed Blendabilities?

I learned something last week that I couldn't wait to share with you...did you know you can colour a heat embossed image with Blendabilities?!?  How cool is that??  Check out this project I made...

Birthday card featuring the Bloom With Hope stamp set
So how'd I do it?  I started by stamping the flower image several times using Versamark ink on Basic Black card stock.  I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder.  Then the magic happens!  I coloured the embossed image (allow time for it to set and cool completely) using my Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.  It is so crazy easy, but I love the WOW result...no coloured embossing powder required!

One caution, to preserve the tips of your Blenda's be sure to use a very light touch so as not to damage them on the raised embossed lines.  I added some sparkle with some rhinestones that I also coloured with the Rich Razzleberry Blenda's.  The sentiment, also from the Bloom With Hope set, is punched with the Modern Label punch and adhered with dimensionals.  The card base is Daffodil Delight, with a Rich Razzleberry mat beneath the front panel.  So...have you ordered your Blenda's yet??

Forever Florals For You

Happy Monday :)  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  My DH starts two weeks' holidays this week, so we are going to have some quality family time.  Lots of fun day trips and an overnight getaway planned.  Really looking forward to it!
Today I have a project I made using my beloved Blendabilities.  It uses the new Forever Florals stamp set:

Any-occasion card featuring the Forever Florals stamp set.
Now these images, as gorgeous as they are, are not for the rookie colourer!  As much as I love my Blendabilities and colouring, these were a challenge!  It took me quite some time to colour my blossoms, but I am happy with the result...well worth the effort!

To get the images spanning the three different panels I first die cut the labels using the Chalk Talk framelits, lined them up side by side and then stamped the images.  Once they were coloured I layered them on a Basic Black mat that I had embossed using the Decorative Dots TIEF.  The whole thing is on a Coastal Cabana card base.

On the inside I stamped more images from the Forever Florals set and coloured them using my Skin Tone and Daffodil Delight Blenda's.  I love the delicate pink of the blossoms I did with the skin tone markers...going to use them again!

Thanks for checking in...have a great week!

Also, I neglected to mention in my previous post about new products that there is a brand new GORGEOUS Christmas stamp set, a sneak peek from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue, that is now availble for all of you who (like me!) like to do Christmas in July.  Check it out:

Beauty of the Season (135779) $20.95

Isn't that just begging to be coloured??  I can't wait to get at it with my Blendabilities!

Now for today's project.  I finally had a chance over the weekend to ink up my Bloom With Hope hostess set.  I LOVE this set!  So many beautiful floral images to colour, but first I wanted to see what I could come up with that didn't require colouring, for those who don't (gasp) enjoy it.  Here is the result:

Birthday card featuring the Bloom With Hope stamp set
Can't get much simpler than this one!  I masked off part of the card front with sticky-notes and sponged with Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss.  Then I heat embossed the flower image in white...I love the way it pops against the darker background.

I added a bit of stitched satin ribbon in Hello Honey and layered it on a Blackberry Bliss card base.  The sentiment, which is also from the Bloom With Hope set, is stamped in black, punched with the Modern Label punch and then layered on a Large Oval punched from Blackberry Bliss card stock.

On the inside I simply stamped the same image from the front in Blackberry Bliss, leaving plenty of space for a personal message for the birthday girl!

Now...go check out the Clearance Rack...so many great deals!

Flower Patch Awesomeness and new product announcements

Last night I held my monthly team meeting in my brand new craft room!  It was the perfect way to christen my new space, stamping and having fun with ladies who are very special to me.  Today I want to show you one of the projects we made:

Any occasion card featuring the Flower Patch stamp set.
Now, I think you already know how much I love the new Flower Patch stamp set and coordinating Flower Fair framelits, but this card just cinches it for me.  It was so quick and easy to put together and yet is so pretty!  The inspiration for this one came from a design by Connie Stewart that I found on Pinterest.  The colour scheme uses inks I don't often break open:  Pink Pirouette, Rose Red and Wild Wasabi, but I love the softness of this combination so much I just may use it again!
I am going to feature this card, along with two others in an upcoming class that highlights this fabulous bundle...stay tuned for details!

Hello Darling

Hello Monday!  Somehow I don't mind Mondays so much when I'm on holidays...funny how that works.  ;)

Today I have a cute little card I made whilst playing with the new Hello Darling stamp set...

Any-occasion card featuring the Hello Darling and Bordering Blooms stamp sets
I was very excited when I realized that one of the border images in the Bordering Blooms set matchs the little flowers on the Hello Darling stamp from the set of the same name...yep...these things make me happy.  I  stamped the border in Crumb Cake ink on the Crumb Cake card base and then stamped the gold sequin image in gold several times to add texture and shimmer.

I also added a bit of Watercolour Wonder Washi tape, some Blackberry Bliss ribbon and a bit of gold sequin trim to bling it up.  I love the tea lace doily heat embossed in gold...it just adds so much texture and shine.  I inked the sentiment stamp with Mossy Meadon, Blackberry Bliss and Hello honey markers to get the multi-coloured image and then die cut it with the Deco Labels Framelits.

Tonight I have my monthly team meeting and it will be my first event in my new craft room!  I am so excited for my team to see what I've been working on for the past month.  I hope they like it as much as I do...I just so love going down and hanging out in there...not necessarily even creating anything.  I just love the space...it is my happy place ;)  It won't be long till I let all of you see it...just a couple more finishing touches before the big reveal...stay tuned!
