Happy Monday...and Merry Christmas in July! Last Saturday I spent the day with 24 fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators celebrating Christmas, so to speak. I, with the help of my amazing upline
Jamilla Ivits, held a demonstrator training event to help our fellow demonstrators prepare for their Fall and Holiday classes. We had a fabulous day creating Christmas projects on the hottest day of the summer, and I thought it only fitting to share the Christmas joy with all of you! So all this week, while I'm away at Convention in Salt Lake City, you'll be treated to Christmas projects that feature products from the new 2015/16 Annual Catalogue.
Today I have a quick project that uses the
Wondrous Wreath stamp set and coordinating framelits...
I built this card on a
thick Whisper White card base. The background panel is embossed using the
Brick Wall TIEF. I added a strip of DSP from the
Neutrals Collection stack. The wreath, from the
Wondrous Wreath stamp set, is inked first using
Pool Party ink and then sponged around the edges in
Island Indigo. The accent leaves are heat embossed in
silver. The wreath was die-cut using the
Wonderful Wreath framelits.
The sentiment, from the
Lots of Joy stamp set, is heat embossed in
silver and then die-cut using the
Tags and Labels framelits, as was the
silver foil layer behind the tag. I added some
Real Red 1/4" cotton ribbon and
silver metallic thread, as well as a few
rhinestones by way of embellishment.
On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the
Lots of Joy set using
Island Indigo ink. I added some of the accent leaves along the edge, heat embossed in
silver.
I am really excited to head to convention this week. We'll be getting our first look at the upcoming Holiday Catalogue, which will put me in even more of a mood for Chistmas projects! I hope you're all ready to get your Santa on!!
I haven't been around much lately but today I scrolled back a little while to catch up. You have been making some awesome cards! Your cards from the new catalog are truly beautiful. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brenda! It's good to hear from you again...I've missed your sweet comments :)
DeleteI really like the mix of modern and traditional on this card.
