Team Treats and Weekly Deals

Last night I held my last team meeting before Christmas.  I wanted to give each of my gals something special to let them know just how much I appreciate them.  So, I whipped up these little boxes of chocolatey goodness:

Gift Box using the Tag a Bag gift Boxes (130927) and the Festive Flurry bundle (133285) and Snowflake Soiree stamp set.

I love how quickly and easily I created these pretty boxes to hold some yummy Lindt chocolate.

Here is how I did it:

• I started by embossing the plastic sleeve using the Northern Frost TIEF
• I stamped the large snowflake on Island Indigo card stock and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder.  I die cut it with the Festive Flurry framelits.
• I stamped the medium snowflake in Pool Party ink on Whisper White card stock and die cut it.
• I die cut the small snowflake from silver Glimmer Paper.  
• I layered each snowflake using dimensionals.
• The tag is stamped with the sentiment from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set in Island Indigo and punched with the Decorative Label punch

Such a quick way to add so much to a simple package!  Try it when you're stuck for a way to wrap a small gift!

Dazzling Snowflakes

Today I have another project we'll be creating in my monthly technqiues class this week.  It uses the Dazzling Diamond Dust technqiue and is perfectly pretty!  Check it out:

I am loving the combination of Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party lately!  Not sure what it is, but those colours just really like each other in my eye.  This photo really doesn't do this card justice, as it is so sparkly and pretty....like sunshine on fresh snow.  You'll have to take my word for it or come to my class on Thursday to see for yourself!

Some Inspiration

One of the many things I love about being a demonstrator is swapping card designs with fellow demonstrators from all across Canada.  I recently hosted a swap of cards using stamp sets from the new Holiday Catalogue and WOW did I get some beautiful cards!  Today I want to show you a couple of my favourites:

Aren't those fun?  I love them both for different reasons.  Christine's card is elegant and detailed and features so many elements it is easy to miss them all at first glance.  One element that doesn't show well in the photo is that she used the Dazzling Diamonds technique on the panel of stamped snowflakes.  So pretty and sparkly...like freshly fallen snow.  Kim's card is just so darned cute!  I love the way she used the image in place of the letter 'o'...so whimsical and fun...not to mention her watercolouring is fabulous!  I hope you enjoyed these...I'll have a couple more tomorrow.  But first I need to show you the latest offering from Craft Project Central.  Check this out:
