Music From the Heart

Happy Tuesday! It's starting to look like Tuesday posts are going to be my new normal while I am working from home. I hope you are finding your new normal as we all do our part to stop the spread of this crazy virus. The best thing about staying at home is more time to craft, am I right?

This week I am all about the Music From the Heart stamp set....

Now, as a music teacher, this set holds a special place in my heart. Music is a HUGE part of both my life at school and my Stampin' Up! business. I mean, there's a reason my awesome community of stampers is called the Stamping Symphony! I have used this set A TON to make cards for my team and for colleagues at school as well. The best part is that this set works for ANYONE... not just the musicians in your life. Check out this fun birthday card...

In addition to the fun music notation images, my favourite thing about this card is the bright colour scheme. I used Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape...pretty much the entire Brights Collection! I love the way these colours work together...so fun and cheerful. Here's a closer look...

I used the Brick and Mortar embossing folder to emboss the Bermuda Bay background panel...I really love that pattern and need to use it more often! I kept the sentiment super-simple and fussy cut out each word...no special tools required.

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped more of the music notes and another fun sentiment.

Here's a link to my video in which I demonstrate this card and two others using the Music From my Heart stamp set...

Thanks so much for stopping by this week. I hope you are keeping well and staying safe. Keep calm and stamp on!

New Freebies and Timeless Tulips

Happy Tuesday! Did you miss me yesterday? We were busy getting sorted out around work and our new COVID19 normal around here, so I didn't get a chance to post. I hope you'll forgive me. Things certainly have changed an awful lot in a very short time around here. I hope that you are healthy and doing everything you can to stay home and safe.

There is some GOOD NEWS today...new Sale-a-bration freebies were just announced! There is only one week left in Sale-a-bration and Stampin' Up! has released several items from the Annual Catalogue to be earned as Sale-a-bration freebies! Check out the graphic below:

That Butterfly Duet Punch is an AWESOME one that I use a ton...if you don't already have one you will definitely want to take advantage of this offer! I'm also super excited to see one of my favourite Designer Series Papers included...Woven Threads! I'll definitely be scooping some of that up too!

Now, on to this week's featured product. With spring in the air (and on the calendar!) I thought I'd focus on my very favourite spring flowers and feature the Timeless Tulips bundle.

Timeless Tulips Bundle (Item #153793)

Now, today's project only uses the stamp set, but I will be demonstrating two additional projects in today's Live @ Five video that use the punch as well.

Check out this pretty, spring-y card...

I started with a Whisper White background panel embossed using the Basket Weave embossing folder. I added some Pacific Point gingham DSP from the Brights 6" x 6" pack as well as a cut little stitched scalloped border on the diagonal. (I honestly can't remember the last time I used Pacific Point on ANYTHING...and I have no idea why!)

I created the base for my wreath using the swirly label die from the Painted Labels dies, cutting one is Granny Apple Green and one in Whisper White. The sentiment, from the Timeless Tulips stamp set,  is stamped in Pacific Point ink.

To add the spray of tulips, I stamped the smallest tulip from the Timeless Tulips stamp set in Melon Mambo ink on Flirty Flamingo card stock. I fussy-cut out the tulips and added a hint of Wink of Stella. I stamped some leaves on Granny Apple Green ink on card stock of the same shade and fussy-cut them as well. Then I added some die-cut sprigs from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set and punched Daffodil Delight sprigs.  I finished it off with a cute little Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon bow.

On the inside I  added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped more tulips and leaves in Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green respectively. The sentiment is from the SAB Tags in Bloom stamp set.

Here's a link to my video in which I demonstrate this card and two others using the Timeless Tulips bundle...

Thanks for stopping by today. Be well and stay safe in these crazy times!

Tags in Bloom

Happy Monday! I honestly don't know where the weekend went! The loss of that hour when we "sprang forward" on Saturday night has me completely out of sorts. I feel like I lost 12 hours, rather than just one!
I did manage to find some time to play with some more new Sale-a-bration Second Release goodies...the Tags in Bloom stamp set and So Very Vellum.

Here is the stamp set...

...and here is that gorgeous So Very Vellum:

Here is a pretty spring card I made, inspired by my dear friend Patty Bennet,  using these new products...

The Tags in Bloom stamp set coordinates with both the Label Me Fancy and Label Me Lovely punches from the January-June Mini Catalogue. I began by cutting a piece of vellum for my background panel. I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut a Whisper White scalloped rectangle and then stamped that gorgeous floral label image in Basic Gray. I used Pool Party, light Bermuda Bay  and Soft Seafoam Stampin' Blends to colour the flowers.

The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink inside another stamped label in Basic Gray. I used the Label my Lovely punch to pop out the stamped label and then used dimensionals to pop the label up.. This allowed me to run my ribbon behind the popped up label. I added a couple of extra fussy-cut flowers to adorn the bottom corner of my label.

On the inside of the card I added another label and sentiment from the Tags in Bloom stamp set in Basic Gary and Bermuda Bay respectively.

Here's my video in which I demonstrate this card and two others using the Tags in Bloom stamp set...

Thanks for stopping by today...have a super week!
