Today I have a sneak peek of new Holiday Catalogue products for you...
Isn't that texture fabulous?? It is the new Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder. I know, you're probably wondering what the heck a dynamic embossing folder is, right? It is a folder that provides a very deeply embossed image that looks almost 3D. This folder is much thicker than a regular folder, so thick, in fact, that you only use one plate when running it through the Big Shot. Also, because of the amount of give required in the paper, it helps to lightly mist the card stock with water to allow it to stretch more readily and avoid tearing when embossing. A little extra effort, yes, but the results are more than worth it!
As for the other elements on this card, don't you just love those paper pine boughs? The new Pretty Pines Thinlits are THE BOMB! There are dies that cut three different sizes of pine sprig, pinecones and mistletoe, not to mention two sizes of bow. The possibilities for these dies are endless! Here I die-cut the pine sprigs from Garden Green and Old Olive card stock. The mistletoe is done in Garden Green and the pinecones are Soft Suede. I added some pearls for my mistletoe berries and a bow in Real Red stitched satin ribbon. The base is cut from Soft Suede card stock. The sentiment is from the new Tin of Tags stamp set. While this set is designed for the Tin of Tags kit, the sentiments and images are fantastic for cards as well. Here I stamped it in Soft Suede ink and die cut it using the Lots of Labels framelits.
On the inside I used pine branch images from the coordinating Christmas Pines stamp set, stamped in Old Olive ink. I added a sentiment from the same set in Soft Suede ink and added a little hint of Real Red with an accent stamp.
I can't wait to play with this bundle more when I get home!
Have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!!
