Today's project is inspired by canning season and uses the Jar of Love stamp set...
If you have never created a pinwheel card before, I have a step-by-step PDF tutorial that I would be happy to share with you. Just email me to request a free copy.
The mason jar is stamped using Smoky Slate ink and the lid is stamped in Basic Gray. I used the Everyday Jars framelits to die-cut them out. I also added a die-cut window sheet to place over top of the stamped jar to make it look more like glass. I added a bit of Linen Thread tied around the lid for some texture.
The belly band is a 1" x 11" strip of coordinating card stock which I just wrapped around the closed card and secured. I added some burlap ribbon which I adhered using Fast Fuse. The sentiment is also from the Jar of Love stamp set and is stamped on a 3/4" x 3" piece of Whisper White card stock.
On the inside I added a 4" x 4" Whisper White panel on which I stamped one of the fruit images from the Fresh Fruit stamp set, leaving lots of space to write a heartfelt message of gratitude.
I may just send one of these to my parents' to thank them for their hospitality this week. I have truly been spoiled and am getting lots of time to rest and relax before the insanity of the school year begins.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
