Big Day

It is a big day...today I'm launching my brand-new Big Day Birthday Card Kit-to-Go! I had many requests for a birthday kit last Fall from those who had purchased my Christmas kits, so I designed this one. Check it out:

Big Day Kit-to-Go featuring the Big Day Sale-a-bration stamp set.

I love the Big Day stamp set in the Sale-a-bration catalogue and couldn't wait to design this kit around it. There are four different designs and the kit includes all of the supplies to make three of each one for a total of 12 cards (envelopes included). In addition to all of the supplies to make the cards, the kit also includes a ton of product that can be reused on other projects:

Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' pad (126983)
Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin' pad (131176)

Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin' pad (131175)
Crushed Curry Classic Stampin pad (131173)
Hearts and Stars Decorative Masks (133777)
Sponge Daubers (pkg of 5) (133773)
Clear Mount Block D (118485)
Big Day Clear Mount Stamp Set (139112)

All of this for just $60, shipping and HST included! Additional information may be found by clicking the Kit-to-Go tab at the top of this page. Email me to order your kit today...this one's only around as long as Sale-a-bration is!

Celebrate with Cake!

Happy first Sunday of 2015! Today it is time for a new challenge over at Sunday Stamps. Our first challenge of the year is a sketch:

...and here is my take on it:

Birthday card featuring the Big Day stamp set, availalble January 6th for FREE during Sale-a-bration!

Let me first say that this year's Sale-a-bration offerings are off-the-charts awesome! This stamp set is such fun...so much so that I have designed a brand-new Kit-to-Go that features it (more on that next week)! For this project I not only used a Sale-a-bration-exclusive stamp set, but also the Best Year Ever DSP and a button from the Best Year Ever Accessories pack. Talk about an overload of fantastic, free, coordinating products!

To create this card I used the Tiny Triangles TIEF to emboss the Soft Suede background layer and I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits (which, by the way are on sale this week!) to get the decorative zigzag edge on the Coastal Cabana layer. The card base is some textured Crushed Curry card stock I still had hanging around from when Crushed Curry was in In-Colour (no, I am NOT a hoarder!) The cake is stamped in Soft Suede ink on Sahara Sand card stock, punched with the 1-3/4" circle punch and then lightly sponged with Soft Suede ink. I layered the stamped image on a Crushed Curry starburst, die-cut with the Starburst Framelits. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede ink on Crushed Curry card stock and then fussy cut.

On the inside I stamped another of the sentiments from the Big Day stamp set in Sahara Sand ink and then stamped a border of candles using Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede inks.
I am SOOO excited for Sale-a-bration this year! So many amazing products...so little time to play with them!
We at Sunday Stamps would love to see your take on our sketch this week, so give it a go and then be sure to link up your image so we can marvel at your creative genius!

Time for some sneak peeks!

Ok...the time has come for a wee pre-Christmas treat. Today I have a sneak peek at some of the products you'll be able to earn for FREE during the upcoming Sale-a-bration promotion. This project is one I designed for my Blendabilities Club this month...

Birthday card featuring the Big Day stamp set and Irresistably Yours Specialty DSP...both available during Sale-a-bration, starting January 6th.

How fun is that? This month my club members are receiving the Melon Mambo Blendabilities set. I love the vibrant pink. The stamp set I used is called Big Day and it features three sentiments, the cake and a candle image. It is perfect for colouring, as even the sentiment stamps have open letters to colour. Did you notice the background panel? It is the new Irresistably Yours Specialty DSP. This white paper with glossy white patterns is perfect for colouring using a variety of techniques, but, since this card is all about Blendabilities, that is what I used. The colour makes the glossy pattern appear. The result on this project is an ombre effect, though it doesn't show up too well in the photo.

On the inside I stamped part of another of the sentiments from the Big Day set and coloured the banner with my Blenda's as well.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another sneak peek of new Occasions Catalogue products!

Now here are this week's Weekly Deals. Sale prices are good until Monday at midnight :)
