Sweet Talk Shaker and a Blog Hop

Happy Saturday! If you're surprised to hear from me on the weekend it is because it is the 15th and once again time for our Stamping Symphony Blog Hop!

This month we are about Saleabration or Love and, since I've been all about the Sweet Talk Suite all week, I went with love as my theme and designed a cute shaker card. Check it out...

shaker card

I fussy-cut several of the candy images from one of the DSP patterns to act as the filling for my shaker. The little candies and lollypops are perfect! To create my shaker I began with a 3" x 4" piece of DSP, which I inserted into a clear envelope. Then I added my shaker bits, trimmed the excess off the envelope and sealed my shaker using Tear 'n' Tape. This is a super-quick and easy way to make a shaker that has no bulk and mails easily.

I layered my shaker on a scalloped border cut using the Scalloped Contours Dies and then adhered it to another piece of Sweet Talk Designer Paper. I added some Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon and a cute tag cut using the Sweet Hearts dies.

On the inside I added a piece of Basic White card stock on which I stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Conversations set in Basic Gray and the hugs and kisses image in Real Red.

Be sure to check out the other amazing creations in our hop...

Sweet Talk Fun Fold

Happy Tuesday from frigid southern Ontario! It is soooooo ccccold here this morning, I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get warm! I can't wait for spring...just a couple more months to go! Weather this cold can only mean Valentine's Day is coming, so I thought I would turn my attention to the adorable Sweet Talk Suite in the new mini catalogue this week and work on projects to share the love on Feb. 14th. Check out this adorable fun fold card I made:

valentines card

Isn't that fun?? I had never seen this fun fold before until last weekend when I happened upon a blog that had a cute Christmas card using this fold. I searched high and low for a tutorial, but couldn't find one, so I figured it out myself. I was shocked that it only took me two tries to get it right...it's a surprisingly easy wow!

Here's a side view...

valentines card

It folds flat and fits in a standard envelope for mailing. The finished size is 4" x 5-1/2"...I tried to make it a standard 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" but was ending up with some crazy measurements, so I opted to keep it simple and go with a slightly narrower card. When the card is open and standing up, you'd never know it is 1/4" narrower than standard.

valentines card

I used two patterns from the  Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper to decorate the various panels on my card...I love that this paper pack is more than just pink and red...the pop of purple is a welcome surprise for Valentine's Day. The focal panel measures 2" x 3", making it the perfect size to showcase the cute little tag die-cut from the Sweet Hearts Dies. I stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Conversations stamp set and a few hearts in Blushing Bride and Real Red ink, added a sweet bow and some yummy iridescent rhinestones.
valentines card

I think the best thing about this card is that it is just as cute from the back as it is the front! I added some more DSP and some Basic White panels, allowing lots of space to write a loving message.

valentines card

I can't wait to demonstrate this card in today's Facebook Live @ Five on my business page! You'll be as amazed as I was at how easy this fold is to create! If you miss the live broadcast, you can catch the replay shortly afterwards on my YouTube channel.

Thanks for stopping by today...be sure to come back on Saturday for our monthly Stamping Symphony Blog Hop...see you then!

Now, on to this week's featured products. The From My Heart Suite is chock full of awesome products to help you show the love to your friends and family this Valentine's Day...

I've had such fun designing projects with these fun products. Check out this card and coordinating treat holder...

I designed this, intending to give it to a dear friend on Valentine's Day. I used every product in the suite on these projects and the only stamping I did was for the sentiment! Talk about quick and easy Valentines!

For the card, I embossed the Whisper White background panel using the Eyelet Lace embossing folder...it works perfectly with the adorable heart doily. The remaining hearts are punched using the Heart Punch Pack, which features TWO coordinating heart punches...one plain and one scalloped, that nest perfectly. The other utterly, fabulous feature, is the the Designer Paper not only has beautiful foil accents, but also has several images that coordinate with the punches, make it super-quick and easy to create adorable projects.

I added some little die-cut hearts, cut using the Be Mine dies...I love when new products coordinate with ones I already have! By way of embellishment, I added some yummy Double-Stitched Satin ribbon and some Faceted Gems...so pretty and shiny!

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the Heartfelt stamp set in Basic Gray, to coordinate with my Basic Gray card stock base, and added a few more little die-cut hearts. So fun!

My little treat holder uses one of the cute Heart Foil Tins. These tins hold A LOT of candy or could even be used to bake yummy cupcakes. The domed lid means your frosting won't end up stuck to the lid! To decorate my tin I added another Heart Doily, flipping it over so it was white rather than Flirty Flamingo. I added a die-cut from the Be Mine dies (the source of those teeny hearts I used on the card), as well as some ribbon, a cute little clip and some Baker's Twine. Another really quick and easy to mass-product treat holder. If I can convince my 12-year old son to let me make valentines for his classmates, these will be them. Let's just say that one may take some serious convincing...he's getting too cool for Valentine's Day;)

I will be showcasing both of these projects and more in this week's Tuesday Live @ Five video on Tuesday, January 7th over on my Facebook Page. I hope you'll check it out...either live or later on my YouTube channel or the Video Tutorials tab at the top of this page.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope 2020 is off to a fabulous start and that you have a wonderful week!
