Punch Baby Mash-Up

This week's challenge over at Friday Mashup is a fun one...use punches to create a baby card!  That's an easy one for me because I have a ton of friends, family and colleagues who are either expecting or who recently welcomed a new little one into their lives.  Here is the inspiration photo:

...and here is my card:

Isn't this a cute little teddy bear?  I was inspired to create this little guy by one on Andrea Walford's blog; however I made some significant changes to her design.  Here is a rundown of the various punches and body parts:

Head - ornament, trimmed
Ears - 1/2" circle (brown), Itty Bitty punch pack circle (pink)
Muzzle - Med. 3/4" x 15/16" oval
Nose - Itty Bitty punch pack circle
Eyes - tip of one of petals from Build-A-Blossom punch, trimmed
Body - 2 1/2" circle, trimmed
Arms - 1 3/4" x 7/8" oval
Tummy - 1 3/4" x 7/8" oval, trimmed
Feet - Med. 3/4" x 15/16" oval (brown), same oval trimmed (vanilla)
Halo - 1 3/4" x 7/8" oval punched around a 1 3/8" x 5/8" hole

I made this little guy using retired creamy caramel cardstock...I just love that soft brown colour for a baby card.  I sponged all the pieces generously with also-retired close to cocoa ink and drew on the stitching using my chocolate chip marker.  As for the rest of the card, I ran the card base in so saffron through the Big Shot with the small polka dots texture plate for some subtle texture.  The scallop square is die cut from certainly celery DSP and then run through with the square lattice folder.
To create the label for the sentiment, I punched out a decorative label and then reinserted it into the punch and repunched it to get the narrow label shape.  Mary Fish has done a how-to video here that explains it better than I ever could!  Thanks, Mary!  Just another reason for me to love my very favorite punch!  The rest of this card is pretty straightforward...if you have questions drop me an email and I'll get back to you.  In the meantime, I hope it is sunnier where you are than it is here today...what a gloomy, rainy day...seems we've had more than our share of those this spring!!
