Bloomin' Heart Birthday

Happy Hump Day...it's downhill to the weekend after today...wahoo!  I hope you are having a good week.

Today I have a project I designed for my upcoming Birthday Card Blitz event. It uses more fabulous new products from the Occasions catalogue...

Birthday card featuring the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit die with sentiment from the Rose Wonder stamp set.
This is a super-simple design because I wanted that gorgeous die-cut to do all the talking on this card. I began by die-cutting the balloon, using the Balloon Framelit dies, from a piece of Whisper White card stock. I then ran the die-cut panel through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling TIEF (did you notice that one is back in the Occasions catty??). Then I adhered a die-cut Bloomin' Heart, made using the new Blushing Bride glimmer paper, centering it in the balloon window. I layered a piece of silver foil sheets behind it, making this birthday card sparkle and shine like no other.

I adhered the panel to a Blushing Bride card base and added a Botanical Gardens Jewel, along with a couple of rhinestones to highlight some of the flowers in the die-cut. I also added a bow made with some leftover Silver Cording Trim. The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set and is heat embossed in silver and die cut using the Ovals Collection Framelits.

Inside view with sentiment from the You've Got This stamp set.
On the inside I heat embossed a sentiment from the You've Got This stamp set in silver and added a little Blushing Bride glimmer balloon, punched with the new Party Punch Pack.

I am sooo loving all these new products to play with! The ideas are coming fast than I can keep up! So much fun, so little time!

If you haven't yet received your copy of the Occasions and/or Sale-a-bration catalogues let me know and I will send you a complimentary copy. In the meantime, here is the list of all the products used to create this card:

A new colour challenge

Today marks the beginning of a new colour challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  I love the softness of this pallette...check it out:

Here is my project for the Design Team:

Thank you card featuring the Summer Silhouettes stamp set with sentiment from Best of Greetings (retired)
For this challenge I went with the obivous and allowed the image in the challenge graphic to inspire me.  I used the Summer Silhouettes stamp set, which is one I love but don't pull out nearly often enough.  The background image is from the new You've Got This set and is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock in Crumb Cake ink, but stamped off twice so is was very faded.  The leaves and stems are stamped full-strength in Crumb Cake, which gives you an idea just how faded the background is.  The little flowers are stamped in Soft Sky ink.

I used pearls that I coloured using my beloved and still-going-strong Blendabilities to add the blossom on the large flower.  The band across the bottom of the stamped images is some retired This and That Washi Tape.  I layered three strips to get the width I wanted.  The sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla card stock and is accented with a couple more little blue pearls.  The card front is matted on a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock before being adhered to a Soft Sky card base.

On the inside I stamped more of the images from the front, this time stamping the blossom images  in Soft Sky ink rather than using pearls.
I loved this colour combo so much I used it on a couple of other projects...be sure to check back later this week.  In the meantime visit the Design Team blogs for more colour happiness and then be sure to play along over at Sunday Stamps!

Now for a project!  Today's card once again features the You've Got This stamp set (told you I wasn't done with that one yet!)...

Any-occasion card featuring the You've Got This stamp set
I was having a less-than-great day on the weekend and so I decided I needed a little colour therapy.  I pulled out my blender pen and new In-colour markers and went to town.  The flower image is stamped in Staz On ink on watercolour paper.  I used the Watermelon Wonder Stampin' Write marker and a blender pen to colour the petals on the flower.  The centre is done with Delightful Dijon and the stem and leaves are done with Cucumber Crush.  I added a very faint outline in Sahara Sand to add depth to the image.

I die-cut the image using the Deco Labels framelits and adhered it to a card base in Sahara Sand, which I had stamped randomly in ink of the same colour using the crosshatch background image from the You've Got This set.  I added a couple of layers of 7/8" Lace Trim in Sahara Sand for a little texture.

I decided to omit a sentiment for now and left the inside blank...sometimes it's nice to have cards on-hand that one can quickly add a sentiment to for a particular occasion.

My rather large new catalogue order is arriving tomorrow...I foresee LOTS of crafting time this weekend and LOTS of new projects to share next week!  Stay tuned...

One More Sleep!

Just one more day till the brand new 2015/16 Annual Catalogue of Awesomeness goes live!  I am just itching to get my inky little hands on the fabulous new items in that book!  To whet your appetite, here is another little sneak peek for you...

Encouragement Card featuring the You've Got This stamp set
Are you tired of this beautiful flower image yet?  I sure hope not!  I am just getting started with it!  On this card I used two of the new In-colours: Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe...I absolutely love the look of those two colours together.  I stamped the crosshatched background image from the You've Got This stamp set in Tip Top Taupe ink, stamping off twice on scrap paper before stamping on the card stock so as to get a very faded image. I stamped the flower image over top using the same ink colour, but this time full-strength.  The sentiment is also stamped in Tip Top Taupe.  I layered the stamped panel on a piece of Mint Macaron card stock and added a little ruffle of Tip Top Taupe 1" Dotted Lace Trim.

The Whisper White background panel is embossed using the new Boho Chic TIEF and is mounted on a card base in Tip Top Taupe.  I added a little Mint Macaron butterfly punched using the Bitty Butterfly punch, and added a few little pearls.

On the inside I stamped the flower image again in Tip Top Taupe ink and the sentiment in Mint Macaron.

I'll be up bright and early tomorrow morning to place my new catty order in the hope that it ships out by the end of the day.  I just can't wait for that magical box of awesomeness to arrive!

Sneak Peek Week Continues

So?  Are you getting excited about the launch of the new Annual  2015/16 Catalogue?  I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on some of the fabulous new products!  While our demonstrator pre-order is great, we aren't able to order everything from the catalogue until June 2nd...which can't come soon enough for me!

Today I have another sneak peek for you.  This one uses the same stamp set I did yesterday, called You've Got This.  Check it out:

Encouragement card featuring the new You've Got This stamp set, available June 2nd in the new 2015/16 Annual Catalogue.
I used several new products on this one, starting with the card base, which is one of the new In-colours called Tip Top Taupe.  It is a true gray-brown taupe and unlike any of the other colours in the current Colour Family line-up.  I stamped the card base using ink of the same shade and the cross-hatch background stamp that is included in the You've Got This set.  I stamped some images full-strength and others stamped off once to add depth.  I also stamped the flower image a few times as well, again to add depth.

The focal image is stamped using another of the new In-colours called Mint Macaron.  Many have asked me if it is almost the same shade as Pool Party but it is not even close.  Mint Macaron is much more green than Pool Party...a true mint green.  Here I stamped the cross-hatched background, stamped off once, and then the flower over top full strength.  The lace trim is the new In-colour ribbon, which is available in each of the five In-colours.  It is very light-weight and easy to work with, adding delicate detail to a project without adding a lot of bulk.  The sentiment is heat embossed in silver.

On the inside I stamped the flower image again in Mint Macaron ink and the sentiment, which is one of three that are included in the You've Got This set, in Tip Top Taupe.
The beautiful images in this set, as well as the assortment of unique sentiments made this set a must-have for me.
If you would like a copy of the new Annual Catalogue and do not currently have a demonstrator please email me to request a copy.  There is nothing like holding the hard copy of that magical book of crafty goodness in your hands, trust me!

Another Sneak Peek

Ok...here's your spoiler alert.  I have more new catty goodness to share with you today, so if you are waiting for the big reveal, read no further!  If you do want to get another hint of the awesomeness to come on June 2nd, read on!

This project is the make-n-take I did with my team at our monthly meeting this week.  I wanted them all to get to know the new In-colours and to have a chance to see the new Gift Bag Punch Board, as well as play with a fabulous new stamp set.  Here is what I came up with for them:

Gift Bag made from the new In-colour Envelope Paper, using the Gift Bag Punch Board.  Both are available June 2nd in the new 2015/16 Annual Catalogue.
Inside the gift bag is a set of note cards, one in each of the new In-colours...

Set of In-colour notecards featuring the new You've Got this stamp set, available June 2nd in the new 2015/16 Annual Catalogue.

Mint Macaron
Tip Top Taupe
Delightful Dijon
Watermelon Wonder
Cucumber Crush
I honestly can't decide which of the new In-colours I like best!  They are all fabulous and fill in gaps in the current core colour line-up.  I'm so excited to have these new beauties to work with for the next two years!  Speaking of beauty, isn't that flower image gorgeous?  It, along with the cross-hatched background stamp, is part of the You've Got This stamp set.  In addition to the two image stamps, there are also three beautiful sentiments.  I had some fun playing with this set over the weekend, so be sure to stop by all this week for more sneak peeks!
