Another Sneak Peek

Ok...here's your spoiler alert.  I have more new catty goodness to share with you today, so if you are waiting for the big reveal, read no further!  If you do want to get another hint of the awesomeness to come on June 2nd, read on!

This project is the make-n-take I did with my team at our monthly meeting this week.  I wanted them all to get to know the new In-colours and to have a chance to see the new Gift Bag Punch Board, as well as play with a fabulous new stamp set.  Here is what I came up with for them:

Gift Bag made from the new In-colour Envelope Paper, using the Gift Bag Punch Board.  Both are available June 2nd in the new 2015/16 Annual Catalogue.
Inside the gift bag is a set of note cards, one in each of the new In-colours...

Set of In-colour notecards featuring the new You've Got this stamp set, available June 2nd in the new 2015/16 Annual Catalogue.

Mint Macaron
Tip Top Taupe
Delightful Dijon
Watermelon Wonder
Cucumber Crush
I honestly can't decide which of the new In-colours I like best!  They are all fabulous and fill in gaps in the current core colour line-up.  I'm so excited to have these new beauties to work with for the next two years!  Speaking of beauty, isn't that flower image gorgeous?  It, along with the cross-hatched background stamp, is part of the You've Got This stamp set.  In addition to the two image stamps, there are also three beautiful sentiments.  I had some fun playing with this set over the weekend, so be sure to stop by all this week for more sneak peeks!

Now I also have some exciting news to share!  Right now, until June 10th, new subscribers to Paper Pumpkin can receive 50% off their first two months subscription!

That's  two-months-worth of boxes filled with crafty awesomeness for just $12.48/month!  There has never been a better time to check out Paper Pumpkin and see what all the fuss is about!  To take advantage visit Paperpumpkin.com and enter the code SAVE50

Revamped Birthday Card

I mentioned yesterday that I spent Sunday afternoon with a wonderful group of women who were (almost) all new to stamping.  At the hostess' request we made one birthday card and two Christmas cards.  The birthday card I chose is a revamped version of a card I did a while back.

Birthday card featuring the Bordering Blooms and Tag Talk stamp sets.
To start, I stamped the border image from Bordering Bloooms in Old Olive ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then I embossed the panel using the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF, leaving the stamped portion smooth.  I added some Strawberry Slush thick baker's twine and some little flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes (retired) punch pack.  The label, from the Tag Talk set, is stamped in Strawberry Slush and punched using the Bracket Label punch.  Of course, a card just isn't a card without some bling, which I added liberally ;)

The front panel is matted on a piece of Old Olive card stock and mounted on a Strawberry Slush card base.

On the inside I stamped the border again along the opposite edge and added a few more punched flowers.  The sentiment is from the And Many More stamp set and is stamped in Strawberry Slush ink, punched with the Lg. Oval punch and layered on a Scallop Oval in Old Olive.  A little more bling and...voila...a fun and easy birthday card.  Perfect for a group of new stampers to have success!

Fall Birthday

I have a private class coming up in a couple of weeks.  One of the projects that was requested was a birthday card, so I figured I would do something Fall-themed...

Fall-themed birthday card featuring the For All Things and Tag Talk stamp sets.
I used the leaf image from the For All Things stamp set, layering the image in Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler inks.  The background is embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF.  The label is from the Tag Talk stamp set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow is and punched with the Bracket Label punch.  I layered it on a 1-3/4" circle in Champagne glimmer paper.

I added some natural fibres with a bit of burlap ribbon and some linen thread, as well as a Naturals Button.  It needed a bit more bling so I added a few strategically placed gold sequins.  I'm happy with the result...hope the guests at my class are too!

Miss Me?

Did you miss me?  I've been away up north at my parents' all week.  I had planned to post while there but their Internet access was sketchy at best, so I've pretty much been off the grid for the last seven days.  It was a nice way to enjoy my last few days of freedom...next week it is school work and preparations for the new school year which begins September 2nd.
Today I have another one of the projects for the first month of my Blendabilities club.  Check it out...

Any-occasion card featuring the Blended Bloom and Tag Talk stamp sets.
I really like the look of the Blended Bloom image stamped on Typeset DSP and then shaded with the Calypso Coral Blendabilities.  To add definition to the centre of the flower I left part of it unshaded, allowing the colour of the DSP to act as a highlight.

The sentiment label is from the new Tag Talk set in the Annual Catalogue.  I love that it gives a chalkboard look.  I heat embossed it in black to give it a bit of a sheen and added a couple of rhinestones for some bling.

If you haven't joined my Blendabilities club yet there's still time!  Check out the details here and sign up today!
